So I read the exhaust is 2.5" to the cat and then 2.25" after that. I need to replace the clamp in front of the cat, and get a turndown from the muffler.

Buying exhaust stuff is so confusing, is that a 2.5" ID or OD? Looking at this for the clamp

Then I'm thinking about getting this instead of a legit "turndown" piece to try to direct it a bit further down. Is that dumb? It's got 2.25" ID and OD so this way I also don't need to figure out which I need lol

You may want to get yourself a Caliper to confirm the exhaust pipe diameters. The double female joint looks good but why would you want your exhaust tip turned down 90 degrees?

I bought a Hooker Blackheart 2.5" stainless cat back kit when it was in sale on Holley's website. Bolted right in. Super easy.

I then replaced my cat with a 2.5" Magnaflow generic high flow cat and added a v-band to a custom 2.5" downpipe to my Banks headers.

Exhaust tubing is measured by its OD.

When I was buying bits for my MR2 some was measured as ID and some OD and it was confusing!!

Well I was thinking I'd cut it down to the size I wanted but thought it might be nice to have a little more of a turn to point it away from stuff than the actual "turndown" pieces
