Engine not starting and making a grinding noise

Hello,

Looking to see if anyone has experienced this issue. Just had the starter go out on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unltd Sahara Alt 4WD (4 Cylinders N 2.0L DI Turbo DOHC 122 CID).

Had a shop replace the starter and batter and all seemed to he going well but now about 2 weeks in on the first push to start, the engine doesnt start up and the Jeep makes a grinding noise until you power the jeep off. Surprisingly without fail the Jeep always fires up after the second time trying.

I have a video of the sound but it doesnt seem like you can post videos on this forum.

Any ideas or input would be much appreciated!

So this is a Jeep TJ forum...1997 to 2006.

@Chris might want to move this to the other Jeep thread.

I'd probably take your Jeep back to the shop. New parts are all crap these days so I'd say it's highly likely the new part failed.
