Been having some issues with my door locks freezing up in winter. It's a shame because I wind up parking the Jeep all winter when I could be having fun in the snow.
I replaced the latches and plastic clips, lubed all the rods, etc., but still no luck. Then it kind of hit me, the plastic liner inside is kind of beat up and I wonder if maybe the real issue is with that barrier being degraded.
Has anyone had any luck using desiccant to address this issue? I was thinking of putting some smaller silica packs inside the door itself, then fixing the plastic barrier, and then keepign one of these inside the Jeep during the winter:
