Scat rods and racetec pistons right?

Also scat crank?

My scat crank has rear main seal surface that is knurled(?). Grooves at a 45* angle. I've read that is for a rope style rear seal. If a scat crank, is yours the same? What are your thoughts on seal types?

Yes to all. I did not know that about the crank, but I just asked Russ and he confirmed it works fine with the standard lip seal.

Found this bolt. Smells like it was internal, but doesn’t fit the old camshaft, so that’s not where it’s from. Any ideas?

im in the middle of doing a 5.0l stroker kit on mine and i didn't see any bolts that looked similar to that when I stripped mine. I'd assume possible crank pulley bolt, flywheel bolt, motor mount or other accessories?

Crank pulley bolt is installed, motor mounts are coarse thread, and all six flywheel bolts are accounted for

Fired the engine and got through cam break in! But she’s running like shit. Rough idle, surging under throttle, and a distinct “puffing” from the exhaust at low RPM. Cam/crank offset is within 0.5* of expected, grounds are clean. Any ideas of what else to look at? Or is it a tuning issue?

Compression test? Vacuum gauge?

What injectors? What cam?

It should learn a mild stroker within a couple run cycles

Is it throwing any codes? Is it rough only at idle?
 
Weird residue on #2 plug. Oil or water? Scoped all six cylinders. Looks like a little bit of oil or water sitting on top of each piston?
