Hi everyone! New member here so I apologize if this have been answered elsewhere (I’ve don’t some extensive googling and haven’t found anything as of yet). About a week ago I bought a 2004 wrangler X in electric lime green. It came with corbeau front seats (using adapter brackets to the stock jeep seat bracket). The passenger seat bracket was rattling and loose and both looked terrible so I bought corbeaus seat brackets to replace them with. ( from extreme terrain ). I bought the 03-06 brackets and they don’t seem to fit. The holes line up but the flanges are not even close to being flat. I called corbeau and they believe I may have been sent the wrong brackets. Does anyone know if the brackets tend to have this problem? I appreciate any help thank you!

I want to point out the front and back mounting points, neither sit flat. I also forgot to add a picture of the rear mount.

For more reference If it helps (the pictures don’t illustrate it very well) I would have to bend the metal quite a bit to get it close to flat. Also if I lift the bracket and make the front mounts level with the front holes there is about an inch of space under the rear mounts. Can I assume they are not ment to be that way?

Yeah that sounds wrong lol. Since they believe you were sent the wrong mounts… are they gonna exchange them?

I’m waiting to hear back from them. They told me yesterday that they would be willing to do the exchange so I’m crossing my fingers. Out of curiosity is there any mod that could have been done that would make the brackets that far off? This jeep has been modified (badly in some places) that I’m undoing one piece at a time. Everything looks stock/normal but I’ve been wrong before and will be again

As an update, Corbeau exchanged them and they arrived not long ago. They have the exact same problem the first set has. Is this expected with these brackets or is my jeep unique?

Maybe it's Corbeau, they're made in the UK or America so it's not a Chi-Nah thing apparantly?
My PRP's were ordered with their seat brackets and other than them saying the seats would sit a little higher they fit perfect.
I'd just do a wedge spacer for the fix myself.

I’d love to use a spacer but the gap is a lot. I don’t know if it’s suppose to be this way but when I make the corbeau bracket front flanges level with tub in the front the rear is no where near close.

Are the wrangler X’s different in regards to their tub or design that would cause this? Is there any mod that may cause this problem?

As an update to this. Spoke with corbeau a couple more times and they legit recommend just trying to bolt them in. So I started the bolts by and and grabbed my trusty impact and they bolted in flush to the tub, the bracket flanges pulled flat. So for anyone else who may have this issue, try bolting them in!
