Let's go back to some seat talk!

So, I have an 01’ Tj that I’ve built to my liking, and after I did the entire under chassis and rebuilt the engine and stuck an ax15 in it, I went nuts on the interior. I have a tonneau and wind jammer, or whatever it’s called, so I took out the back seats, seatbelt brackets and ditched my bar pads. (Doing a fastback cage next and calling her done) I have reclining bucket seats I got from recaro and I love them (have similar seats in my E82 bmw so I’m fond of how they fit me).



I installed a smittybuilt bracket for the passenger seat, and did some fabricating to fit the seat, and my drivers seat is sitting on a 4x4 piece of wood wrapped in some carpet with spray adhesive hahahaha. I can never find the drivers side, and they have had the driver’s side adapter that matches, but it isn’t all that great. I know I have a sort of bespoke build, but does anyone make a seat adapter? It’s a two seater and I will never have back seats again, so I don’t care about the tilt, and Ive probably spent close to a grand on trying seat brackets and none work any better than another . Doesn’t anyone just make a Tj specific bracket considering there has literally been many thousands of various off-road 4x4 race jeeps built over the years? Haha. You’d think that not allllllll of those teams built all of their bucket race seat brackets. And, I’m aware of the smittybuilt sriver@/‘aide, but it’s a rare find and seem to sell out fast.




Sorry for the book of a post, but I am sure I couldn’t be the only person who has essentially “heavily modded” Their interior and has added some nice reclining bucket boulstered seats. Any of the crawler guys building brackets or anything? Haha. I wanna put some seatbelt clips back in that sucker too haha.

PRP seats were very popular on this forum for a while. A number of them are suitable for 5-point harnesses as well

Here's my interior, with new two tone leather seats and new matching leather steering wheel. I added a white silicone steering wheel cover and white seat belts all around, plus shoulder pads. I heavily coated the seat belts with fabric stain remover before installation. I also professionally installed 255 color LED lights to my interior as I was bored with the plain white interior lights.

The stock seat bases with PRP seats are where it is. I just installed the EnduroTrek seats from them and love them. You can customize them to your colors and have several options for them. The only thing I wish I would have done was spend the extra for the lumbar support. It isn't a deal breaker, but I went with almost every other option. I got the upgraded foam and can sit in these for hours without butt or back pain.

I am going to be ordering the matching back seat soon from PRP. As well as the front and rear harness bars from Rockhard.
