Clutch issues

Hello to all. I could use any advice. This is my first Jeep (03 Sport) and I have done some work on it so far. I am struggling to diagnose this issue.

Symptoms:
Clutch will not fully disengage
Starting will lunge forward (or backward if in reverse). I can drive it once it's in gear with no slipping and just rev matching to shift gears from 2nd-5th

I have replaced the Master Cylinder and Slave cylinder twice and I could have made mistakes. I'm just wondering if I should just replace the master cylinder & slave cylinder with a better one, or if this could be something different.

Forgive my ignorance. I have tools, time and general experience. Just could use a pointer or two. Thank you all!

I would guess you bled it as well.

Is the pedal soft?

If it’s bled and seems to be pushing fine, can you have someone do it with engine off and hear , listen for the movement?

I would think, with the effort you’ve put in, the next is to drop the transmission and check the throwout and fork and make sure the entire setup is working. Might need to pull the clutch and make sure the flywheel is good and what isn’t working properly

This is helpful. I did use an assembly so it was pre-bled. But I confess I used a cheap one and I fumbled through it the first time. As a general question... If I pull the clutch, will I need to replace the master cylinder/slave cylinder again? I was thinking I'd get a better assembly and try it first (thinking using the Luk since most people recommend it). But if that doesn't work, I'd pull the clutch. Just don't want to waste another slave cylinder.

If you are replacing the clutch you can remove the slave and bungee it off to the side. You can reuse it.

I am on the fourth MC & slave since Q4-24. One I don't know the name of. One was a DuraLast and the one I am replacing now is a LUK. I give up with third party parts. I am installing Mopar this time. The time I have to lay the jeep up or worry about clutch failure when using third party parts just isn't worthy.

Should have just done the Mopar from the start.. would have saved my money and aggravation.

I agree with the other post, good parts help.
You can absolutely pull the trans and the clutch and keep the SC, but if you believe it’s bad, I’d replace with Mopar and see, but right now you don’t really know. It’s the most likely issue, but it could be other parts.

Thank you.. I did order a Luk this time around which is better than the junk I was trying to get away with. I'll stick to Mopar from now on. With this advice, after this swap, if there's no improvement, I'll start pulling the clutch out with the bungee trick. I'll get there. V thankful for this community.
