Transmission slave cylinder question

I have a newer clutch main and slave cylinder installed. How can I reuse that on a new transmission without bleeding/fighting with the setup. When I changed parts before I could net get the pushrod to stay back in on the slave cylinder. I need to swap out the 3550 quick. So what I do to swap over the slave cylinder? Thanks

Most come with a plastic clip to retain the rod. If it's missing you probably can approximate with cable ties.

Or don't worry about it and bleed it later.
