Brandon's Arles Blue TJ

As I've spent a chunk of my morning watching videos on TJ stretches, and more importantly TJ6 conversions, my YouTube wrap up gives me this. So maybe a turbo'd LS or Hemi, Super Dutys, 40s, coilovers, and a TJ6 stretch? 😂 My taste doesn't match my bank account.......like most of us around here.

Bro, I can't wait to check back in 5 years.

Well I do have a 360 (5.9) block sitting in my shed & a built 46RE... And a wiring harness already built... Just saying... All you need is motor mounts and trans mount... ;) :);)🤣

🤔 The 5.2/5.9 route definitely interests me for some reason. I always liked the V8 Dakotas back in the 90s/00s though. Ultimately, I just hope my 4.0 and 32RH hold out for a while! 🤞🏼

I have to act fast while the wife is on board! It'll either be largely the same, completely different, or replaced with something different?! So I guess, who really knows???

So I guess, who really knows???

Since we’re speculating.

I'd never wish major drivetrain failures on anyone... But... I have parts..

I'm single & broke all the time cause all my money goes to my Jeep habit... Be cheaper to snort it...

Got my tailgate armor and steering skid from @Fluxor in today. Now if only the rest of my armor would show up (Savvy 🙄). The stainless steering skid is going to look so good up front, and provide some much needed protection. Based on my Artec bumper, it looks like I'm going to have to make a small spacer to go between the skid and the steering box mount where you drill. I didn't pull the bumper bolt but it seems like it's going to hit the box if not. Believe there's some aluminum stock laying around here somewhere that should work.

I made this first batch with only my bumper in mind. I have made a revision to add 3/16 to the drop so they can be used with other brands. You will never see that spacer under there. If you need a piece of material let me know.

Thanks, I'll check around the scrap pile and see what we've got. I think there's some scrap bits of 3/16" or 1/4" angle aluminum somewhere that would be easy to make a space out of.

Did you get your deer?

I was stuck on the wetside Wednesday night, but it worked out since I got me a new axle.

Yep! It was a second deer special permit, so it was for a doe. Got a decent doe yesterday and came home. Just finishing up cutting and wrapping everything minus what I need to grind and I'm going to make some jerky.

Cool....
Hopefully you'll bring some of that jerky when we go wheeling next year... Haven't had Venison jerky in a long time.

I'm giving some away as part of a gift at Christmas. But I'm planning to vacuum seal some of it and maybe throw it in the freezer so I can spread it out. I've also got some other roasts and stuff that I could thaw and slice up for jerky 👌🏼

I'm a meat hunter, so I don't pass on much that's legal. But, that means that I've killed a deer 6 out of the past 8 years, and two this year. And I've got a friend that stocks me with elk from time to time. We have a whole freezer in the garage that we only use for fish, shellfish, and game. And even that is starting to bleed over into our other garage freezer. A very fortunate problem to have! I was just telling my son how lucky we are to get to eat this meat!

My BIL is a meat hunter too so I get all kinds of game meat when I visit them... Well once I have teeth again...

Well I hope you get your parts soon so you can get to building your Jeep.... I'm hoping I'll be able to come over and wheel a couple of times in Jan or Feb before I head East.
