FWIW: I bought the VDO / CONTINENTAL blower from RockAuto a couple years ago — it shipped loose in the box, zero paper/plastic protection.

When I was opening the box, I heard a piece rumbling around — turns out the little plastic clip that you have to depress when you rotate the motor out of it's position had broken off. Pissed me TF off.

It's hit-or-miss with RockAuto. Packaging quality control is not their strong suit.

"You've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?' Well, do you, punk?"

Rock Auto WAS a good source for cheaper parts, but in recent years their Customer Service has been lacking.
The last time I returned a part that didn’t fit; they wouldn’t accept my explanation that the part didn’t fit; they wanted a detailed explanation on what would be required to make it fit.
The Customer Service representative was surprised when I informed them; you are not paying me to be your Design Engineer.
Selling cheap Chinese parts is where the problem lyes.
