Bestop fit issues

I got a new top during the Bestop spring sale but it’s been mostly down since the weather has been so nice and it needs a good few hot days to stretch out, so I waited to see if it would stretch out.

The alignment on the top is off center, and pulling from the back corners. This is the 3rd top I’ve had on the frame, my second replace a top, never had any other issues. Opened a warranty claim and Bestop is saying my rear bow is walled out and they only support their bow straps, which is allowing the top to rotate.

Before I got back and push, anyone have any insights?

Do you have the plastic corner pieces? I know when I don't install mine the top is loose in the back around the windows.

Yep. Have the tail gate clips and the plastics on the bottom of the corner that wraps around
you are missing the corner stiffeners, that's a big part of your problem.

it’s a full replace a top, I’ve got all the same parts my other tops have had. I’ve only seen plastics insert in the corner fabric verticals section on MasterTops

I was referring to the stiffeners. You should be able to get them from Bestop. They would help with your top sagging.

None of my previous bestops have had those. My issue is less saggging and more the top isn’t square, so when it’s latched at the header, it’s rotating 10-15*

If you want to try the stiffeners let me know, I think i have a couple of sets. Your welcome to one if you want a set.
 
Yep. 2+hr wait earlier this week to speak with someone, and today they say their phones are down because they’re too busy to answer. And I’ve never gotten a response to my emails.

3 weeks…and I finally got approved for a rear window replacement, under the current assumption it’s misaligned which is causing the tight fit/rotation.

To be continued.

Warranty replacement has still not shipped. Current wait time is 190-240 minutes.

@Crystal@Bestop at what point do I just dispute the charge with my CC and order from someone else.

Wait time for emails is probably 5-7 days. I would've disputed it and got a refund in the 3 weeks you waited to get approved. I have zero patience for bad customer service.

hah...they're in the convertible top business and complaining about peak call volume / seasonal demand.

pretty sure summer comes every year :)

those call/email response times are atrocious.
