Best way to wire rear camera when mounting on spare?

Hi all,

I switched up my third brake light and it’s now on my spare. Im going to attached the rear view mirror camera to the disc part of the light mount as shown.

What’s the best way to wire it for OEM looks. NOTE: As this is a rear view mirror camera and not a back up camera it does not need to be wired into the third brake light however as I have the input on my headunit if there is a way I could wire it so both the Wolfbox mirror and the Android CarPlay head unit can use the single camera that would be sweet!

I remember a write up where the author swapped out a two button contact plate (between the door and the rear tub) for a three button contact plate. If this can all be done with three contacts using the new plate from the write up it would be double sweet!

P.S. I’m going to post this in a separate thread but I’ll through it in here as well as it’s in the same wheelhouse. I have a pair of JK LED taillights. It has the resistors wired inline for the hyper flashing defeat. What are the differences between TJ and Jk harnesses?

Where do you get the replacement 2 contact parts for the TJ rear gate??

I installed a 3rd brake light circular replacement like shown in your photo and mine isnt working because of that contact point being for shit

May I ask which digital camera rear view mirror You got?? I ask because I put one of those WOLFE ones off Amazon in my F150 for a year and then I threw it in the trash.

The biggest CON I noticed is the LUX rating couldnt handle any oncoming traffic headlights without blasting the camera out of focus almost entirely. Alot of complaints on this too

You will notice almost every review with video lacks showing the oncoming traffic light blasts

I got the picture of the contact off eBay. I think they are asking $39.

I have the Wolfbox 900pro.

Here- looks trick and is protected and gives a good centered view

Mine is a back up light with manual override.
