Hello Everyone,
I am planning to add a front camera and have a wiring question for those who have already installed one. For power, did most of you hook it up to an accessory feed? That was my first thought but that would have it running anytime the key is turned on and I only plan to use it in specific situations so was thinking to add an on/off switch in the circuit to only turn it on when needed. I know it's an extra step but frequency of usage shouldn't turn it into a PITA and I can always remove the switch in the future if it does.
Am I over thinking this??
I am also planning to add a backup camera as well but can tie the camera power feed to the reverse light circuit so it will only come on when I actually put the Jeep in reverse. Thank you Chrysler for adding the reverse circuit in the auto-dimming rear view mirror wire branch. Will make the wire connections between the backup camera and HU feed super easy.
Thank you,
Scott
