Pretty much the only reason I like you, Mike…

My slash piles are getting really big lol I need to get a burn permit and figure out how to do that safely too, that makes me a little nervous
When I lived in the foothills we rented a wood chipper and sprayed it back into the woods every year or two to do fire mitigation.

The POA sends a truck to do that if you pile stuff on the side of the road but then idk what I'm gonna do with the mulch. Seems counterproductive to spread wood all over the property?
I don't remember the specifics, but it was recommended by the fire department iirc. I believe it burns, but it's a slow and low creeping burn vs a large wall of flames.
Hmmm I'll have to look into that. I'm sure it would be fun dragging all the slash to the side of the roadbut could be a good idea

Do burn piles. Less work and you aren't left with a liability
You can be the new Black Forest catastrophy!
Did seem like it could be a somewhat fun day sitting in front of it watching it burn.
It seems a lot riskier to burn the piles (or let them sit decomposing) than using a county approved service...

Hmm,maybe he shouldn't join the fire dept?![]()
FIFYI grew up in a time where you usedold tiresrubber trees to start large burn/slash piles.
