I tried to use a metal shim when installing my ball joint to account for the taper of the axle c. I didn’t quite get an even press into the seat. Do I need to press it back out and try to reseat or is this ok?

Bottom looks pretty seated. Top being uneven was throwing me off. First time I’ve done this, wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be even on the top as well

Quit looking at the top..see the ring on the ball joint? Is that tight up against the C? If you arent sure reattach your rig and smack the C and then smack the hex on the Rig..now tighten more. You will get to a point where you can tighten no more.
