Bad O2 Sensors?

So this spring I finally got my project TJ roadworthy. One of the problems I had was a check engine light, which was on and showing a few emissions codes (don't remember the specific codes). Since the Jeep had been dead in the woods for the past 2 years, I replaced the 02 sensors since i assumed they had become corroded after 2 years of not being used. I replaced them with Bosch sensors and the codes went away. However, after it passed inspection, the check engine light began coming on again. Over most of the summer it was intermittent, but over the last month it has now been steady and hasn't gone off, despite running perfectly otherwise. I checked the codes and got P0174, P0157, P0031, P0037, P0051, P0057, P0157. These codes are system lean, circuit low, and all 4 codes for 02 sensor heaters. I did some research, and have heard that really anything other than NTK sensors will cause issues and won't work well with the computer. Does anyone with experience about this know if these codes are pointing towards bad 02 sensors, or is there another problem that could be causing these codes while still allowing the engine to run fine?

Welcome to the Forum, spent a lot of time in your beautiful state.

Pretty much O2 codes and you have read right about the NTK sensors and our Jeeps, they are the only tried and true choice. Change them out as the Bosch sensors are behaving normally in your Jeep.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll take your advice and get the NTK sensors, hopefully that fixes it.

I went through this years ago. Installed Bosch sensors and got CEL codes. Switched to NTK, no more CEL codes. At the time I couldn't understand this one, because Bosch was the fuel pump go to. Not so for O2 sensors!

I went through O2 sensor code hell..you really should drop your header pipe get a flash light and look at your cats...if ceramic filament is broken even a little they won't hold enough heat an trip your O2 sensors.

Hey guys, hoping to piggy back off this thread instead of starting a new one. My 06 TJ has been throwing the bad O2 sensor code for a while now. Haven’t he time to replace them but I plan to replace all of them. That being said, recently my TJ has been stalling at hard left turns and feels like it’s miss firing on bumps. Could the O2 sensors be causing this? Or is this more like a chain of failures? I believe my wiring harness may be going as well. Not sure yet though.

Make sure you ONLY use NTK brand O2 sensors, don't let some clueless auto parts store guy talk you into using Bosch which doesn't work well in a Jeep.

Make sure your valve cover does not leak oil.
Mine had a tendency to make its way down the intake manifold and drip on one of the right sensors. Took me few month to figure out why it was going bad so often.
