I want to add AC to my TJ. I have the ac mount in the engine, but other than that, nothing else. Any suggestions on where to start?

I've done it. A 99 4.0 is a little quirky because not all the factory components are available. The plus is you get a better compressor. The minus is the mounting gets a little creative. But its 100% bolt on. And nice to get everything in 1 box. I use Nylog on all my o rings which is not included. If you don't have a vacuum pump and a refrigerant scale, pay a shop to charge it for you. It needs to be exact!
Every part you need is included. I add nylog to the orings but you don't have to. Just a proper charge is all you need to supply.
Do you need to source the slider HVAC control panel with the AC settings to use that kit?

It very much depends on what year you have. The AC systems changed a lot from 97-98 to the 99 year (which tends to be a unicorn) to the 00-06 years which are fairly similar. Like @Deputy Dodge I have a 99 and worse, a 99 in RHD so www.jeepair wasn't an option. I wound up getting the pipes and brackets I needed from a local wrecker and cobbling together the other parts from Rock Auto and eBay. Not a job for the fainthearted mostly because a lot of people will sell you parts advertised as being suitable for your year TJ which aren't! So if I was stateside I would 100% just bite the bullet and buy a jeepair kit. The installation itself isn't super hard - about a 6.5/10. The dash does need to come out which is challenging the first time you do it.
