Looked along time to find an unmolested, factory stock (except for wheels and radio), CA car no rust. I have found that I'm not going off road as I thought I would be and thinking of selling my TJ. What does the forum think the value is?
Runs excellent no accidents. Complete service and base lined last winter when purchased. Including radiator, water pump, hoses, belts, plugs etc. Included with sale is soft top, car cover and tow equipment as it was used as a tow behind by the previous owner. Automatic and AC. No problems just wanted a Jeep for years and have not been using it as much as I thought I would be. Always garaged or in my barn, sorry for only one pic as it's raining here and have company thru Saturday. So will add frame pics and interior pics this coming weekend. Interior in very good condition with factory carpet and factory seat covers (green and tan cloth).

Check your local FB Marketplace, Craigslist, and others. See what TJs in similar condition are going for in your area.
It's a buyers market for sure. Be prepared for it to sit for a long time unless it's priced incredibly well (again why you need to check your local market).
If it's rust free, I'm thinking 10-12k if you're lucky. Even at that price it may sit for a long time. Given the way the market is these things just aren't selling like they once did.

@Chris is right, values are market specific so the best place to find out the real value range is right where you are selling it; at any given time there are at least a dozen or more TJs on Facebook Market Place within a few miles of my place here in PA & they just sit, prices get reduced, they sit more, then they disappear, I suspect a lot of people just pull the ads, I've never seen it like this & I'd bet it's similar in many places. So it is in fact a buyer's market probably like no other time since that TJ was new, possibly with the exception of the great recession which may have seen some equally depressed prices for all things toy. Truth is toys in general just aren't fetching the dollars they once did, so many people that would've been in the market in years past are having to throw those dollars at pesky things like rent & food... and at this point the TJ is firmly in the 'toy' category.
On the bright side, if your description is accurate, that helps a lot, I think there will always be a market for stock rust-free TJs, because with those you can access buyers that may not be as impacted by the overall economy...

Man I couldn't agree more. Granted we are both in the northeast tho. I looked at a Rubicon a few weeks back that I've talked about in a couple of different threads. It's a piece of crap frame wise, and 180k miles, but still has the dana 44s and the 4:1 tcase plus half doors and a nice custom set of wheels and tires. This dude cant' sell this thing for 3k. A few years ago at 6k something like this would've been gone in minutes for the parts. They're just not fetching the money they once were. Now, for you and me in the rust belt, the seasons do play a part, so @Chris comment is spot on: All TJ prices are local.
No doubt, it's all relative to the area you're in. When I first entered the market for my TJ in 2016, it was a bigtime seller's market even in the middle of the rustbelt. When a half decent TJ hit the market it was a foot race to the seller's place to grab it, many would be posted & marked sold in the same day. Man those days are long gone...
It's funny, for whatever reason I continue to track the prices I've been doing it for nearly 10 years. I watch as guys post TJs that apparently have no idea the economy went off a cliff a few years ago & the market has tanked for these things, they're living way in the past with some of the prices they're starting out with.
Thanks all for the input! I was thinking/hoping 10-12K. I'm in a rural area and all the Jeeps here have been WELL used and sell for 7-8K, but they are beat! Dented rusty and just poor condition. I thought I would like to do the trails thru the redwoods, but I just have not gotten into it. I keep going back to my dual sport motorcycle for fun trailing. I'll advertise nationally when I get the pics after the rain stops this weekend. The Jeep has only been in Humboldt county for 8 months, purchased at our other home in SoCal and after the 14 hour drive to get it up north it does not leave Humboldt county. I'm hoping somebody in the rust belt wants to purchase a rust free pavement pounder factory stock.
I'm sure Cali prices are higher than most. My Rubicon was worth $13,000 a few years ago when I bought it back. Now, I'd have to sell it for $8,000 to get rid of it quickly. Good luck getting what you think it's worth. I've never seen the TJ market so low.

Good luck, and yes, make sure it's very clear that you are willing to ship and will help facilitate, and have lots of pictures of the frame, body mounts etc for us rust belt people to salivate over. I've never used the platform, but maybe its a candidate for BAT?

You will get more if you list it on Bring a Trailer or Cars and Bids auction sites, because people in the rust belts like me will be looking for TJs with clean frames which are not common in our area. I bought mine out of California and had it shipped. Those auction sites are also more likely to have enthusiast buyers looking at your Jeep instead of the local person trying to find the cheapest Jeep on marketplace they can.

I sold a mint 03' with 27,000 miles for $13,500. Saharas don't have anything different than any other Jeep, except old 97-02' models had two tone seats and cheap plastic rocker bling.p.s. What's Bring a Trailer's cut?

Yeah it sucks because anything that might be close to resembling something enthusiasts like gets posted there to extract the highest price out of it. Gone are the days you can find a local elderly person selling a clean older car for a good price.
Put a soft top on it and drive it more! Just because you aren't going off road doesn't mean you have to sell it. A 2 door wrangler is the funnest vehicle you can have for a lot of reasons, and not all of them involve going off road!

I don't mind driving ugly stuff, but before I found my TJ in Cali I was looking at ones in my area that people put spray foam in the holes of the frames.

I did this back in 2020 & never looked back, TJs make great plain old convertibles, great for cruising anywhere in beautiful sunny weather top down, tunes on...
