Hi, a 1999 Jeep Sahara with 200,000 miles six cylinder five speed transmission he said he only owned a couple of months. Said everything was gone through said everything works fine including the AC. I have not seen it in person to inspect the frame and metal itself as far as rust but I see these and they’re all over the place on prices from $5000 to $15,000 I guess from what I research these are awesome. Your models

he did say something in the ad that he thought the mileage was more because it was pulled behind RV I posted a some questions before this forum. People said no that does not happen when you pull behind an RV. so that’s kind of making me a little iffy, but he wants to trade for something of mine so I’m still considering it the onlyextras I know it has as a winch. He said he wouldn’t take less than $8000 for it. I know it’s completely hard to put a value on anything that nobody sees in person so I understand that but what is your thoughts on a jeep six-cylinder five speed transmission has 200,000 miles on it and supposedly everything works. Do you think that’s worth 8K? I mean im trading so I’m not giving the cash away but I still don’t wanna get something that’s only worth like $4000. I posted a pic of it. That’s the only pic I have.

Red flags to me are "he said he only owned a couple of months" and "he thought the mileage was more because it was pulled behind RV". Price is too high in todays market. I'd pay $5,500 tops. Plenty of nice Jeeps in TX.

Whats your trade worth? Go look at it, drive it, go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Where in Texas is it, coastal or Hill country or panhandle??

Only you can decide if its a good deal. I say if what you are trading is worth $5000.00 to $8000.00 and you feel the Jeep is worth the same then go for it.

Too easy to hide rust. I wouldn't even consider thinking about it until I checked the frame and tub.

I scour marketplace all the time in NTX, and *on the *surface* $8k doesn’t seem like a horrible asking price for what I see. Obviously you need eyes on it etc, and I’m probably offering 6500 initially assuming it doesn’t have rust or something else wrong.
