I've spent the month or so since I bought this LJR reworking the interior with Sound Assassin on the entire floor, followed by BedRug, MaxBuilt console and wiring up PIAA front halogens, LED interior, reverse lights, rock lights, GMRS mobile, simplifying the stereo, etc. I've driven it maybe 50 miles on the street. It keeps me out of my wife's hair and out of my chair.
The plan is to take it to a more practical lift height, in my mind anyway. This is a very nice, low mile LJR but it's just too dang tall. I haven't a clue the calculations that went into putting this together as is, but I'm planning to undo/redo, for ease of entry, stability on the trail or road, and appearance and stay with 35s. Mechanically, alI I've done is add a steering box brace. I have a Crown OPDA and lithium plugs on the shelf and an oil change is due. Toyota headlight upgrade arrived today so will get that done soon. No plan for bigger throttle body, spacer, CAI or such. Did all that on the XJ and don't think it's worth the expense.
I've been pestering folks here for a month or better trying to formulate a plan. Check this out if you will, and either gently nudge me or kick me in the ass. Constructive criticism and pointing out flaws in the plan is what I'm after. Yup, I've read up on a lot of builds, some amazing, some over the top IMO but still lots of very nice stuff. I'm not emulating any one in particular but the plan below is what I'm looking at for a near final build of this, for me at least.
TIA

2006 4.0L 6spd. Black, Hardtop. 29,xxx miles
Goal:
Capable off road/trail. Might see MOAB once or twice. Hunt, fish, camp, kayak, trail rides with my buddies.
Keep the 35s, nothing larger.
Current (as purchased):
Currie front winch bumper (mid-width?)
Warn Powerplant 9.5
Currie Rear tire carrier bumper.
Poison Spyder rear quarter armor
Poison Spyder sliders
Rock Hard roll cage
Even on a day trip on the trail I normally carry tools, recovery gear, hunting gear, extra clothing, cooler, bottle jack, fuel and water and a passenger sometimes, so I run heavy.
Lift was installed in 2016 by a shop in Lake Havasu, AZ. I have the receipt.
Nth Degree 1.25” Body lift, engine lift (Tummy tuck)
Double cardon driveshafts. Don’t remember the brand but not Adams or Tom Woods.
Rubicon Express 4.5” Lift springs.
Rear bolt on spring relocation brackets
Rear swaybar relo bracket (unknown brand) but likely RE
Rubicon Express Trackbar, I think (silver like the springs)
Rubicon Express Control arms, front/rear
Currie Anti-Rock
Currie CorrecTrac steering
Currie front CA weld on guards
ACOS front spring adj. @ ¾” nets 2” lift
Estimated total lift 6+”.
Bilstein 5100 shocks for 4.5” lift (too short)
275/16” BFG KM2 (35”) Load Range E. 1” spacer on the rear at first glance.
CWT (CVVT) Beadlocks of unknown origin.
Brakes unknown but seem to be slotted rotors (TBD)
4.10 Dana 44 F/R. OEM axles
Planned:
I have OEM replacement bump stop cups and bolts for when ACOS come out. OEM spring rubbers.
I have OEM rear spring perch/pads in hand to get back to OEM setup and minimize added lift over spring height.
Rock Jock 5” front springs (remove relo brackets).
CE-9132FP - JK 4D 4" or TJ/LJ/JK 2D 5" Lift Front Coil Springs (Pair)
Rock Jock 4” rear springs (remove ACOS).
CE-9131RH3P - TJ 4 1/2" or LJ 4" Lift Rear Coil Springs (Pair)
Rock Jock adjustable control arms, front and rear.
CE-9100AS - TJ/LJ Johnny Joint® Adjustable Control Arm Set (Double Adjustable Uppers)
MAYBE RockJock track bar if advised
CE-9120TJS - TJ/LJ/XJ/MJ/ZJ Johnny Joint® Front Trac Bar
Rock Hard bolt-on rear CA guards (in hand) .
Keep Bilsteins to see how they are on/off road. Length should be closer with shorter lift. Verify length and consider Rancho later.
Revolution 5.13 R&P
Revolution 4340 axles Rear.
Revolution US or RCV front.
Black Magic 15/16” brake kit (Venco) on all 4.
15 x 8 x 4.5 wheels. Looks like 3.75” BS is what is out there. Looking at/for options.
35 x 15 Cooper Evolution M/T Load Range C
Might eventually run aftermarket fenders depending on clearances achieved with above and for the look.
