I wonder if a spreader bar between C pillars would have kept the one side from caving. The collared bolt-on type would be an easy rigidity adder without breaking out the welder and bender for a full-out cage build.
I know not many people plan on rolling their rig again, but it’s something to consider once you start pushing the limits.
I’ve since looked at a few cage ideas that modify the stock. I’d post a link if I could remember where it was. It might have been @MattTJRubicon82. I’m looking at several ideas in addition to the cage that are planned to prevent rolling by creating more stability and control. I also need to focus on more wheelin’ time with the auto. My thoughts on the stock cage are that it did its job, twice now. I think a key on cages is triangulating and also going through the dash and floor to the frame, but I am open to correction. Weight is also a consideration.

I think a spreader would either have worked, or it would have pressed on the other side and bent it too. Would be interesting to know. It certainly would have spread the load.
You know, Jeremy’s jeep looks really great. But I think Impact Orange would be even better. So that should be the next mod!
I think Bright Silver Metallic should be the next mod.![]()

Beautiful blend job!
Looks great! Always envious of your painted aluminum. It's such a great look!
Glad to see the Jeep is back up to your standards.
On a separate note - can you share more on those side-view mirrors in the windshield frame, or point me to where it's mentioned in your build?
I will need to use a lower grit compound to finish up the blend.
These are the mirrors.Dont go broke now! $16.50!
