Another difference is on the 97–02 they used a security Torx bolt to hold each of the B pillars to the center portion whereas on the 03206. They just welded it. I’m gonna get rid of the security torx after I weld it together so that it will be just like the 03–06

The Jeep looks freaking awesome without any roll cage! Another way to lose some weight! LOL

Just need seats that aren’t so high back.

Looks awesome but you know you'd not want to wheel without it. Maybe looks a little like this! ;)

It does look really cool like that. Wonder if it'd have more body roll/flex without the cage. Are you gonna drive it like that and find out?

I’ll only drive it if I need too! It does drive differently though. You can tell when any weight is lost. 😉

Might do a drive. It’s a bit cool though. I already had to drive top off today in the rain. ☔️ people looking at you like your crazy. I just put my bug glasses on.

Went for a drive. It’s crazy how much silkier it feels with less weight. Really insane. I did not expect this much change! IDK how much the roll cage weighs, but whatever it is it’s significant. Put a grin on my face that’s hard to wipe off!

Woohoo! July looks good for me.

Pick a weekend or week in July other than 8th-13th since that is when the PNW4WDA Trail Jamboree is happening and would mean a lot more traffic/people/vehicles to deal with.
Better to do it at other times if at all possible.

Won't take you up to Rimrock just YET...

I’ve got some projects for the Jeep planned once I get the windshield frame replaced and cage back in. Let’s stay in touch about date. Hope yours is going to all come together in next few weeks brother.

I'm at the mercy of parts coming back now.... Hopefully it won't be a long process.

Get the cage in and then you can scratch up your old windshield frame before installing the new one.... This is what mine looked like from rubbing on the trees.

End of June could work too...

Son getting married June 26, so that’s out for me.

I got that dent on my A pillar the first time I rolled. 🤣 got GR armor there now, so that’s coming off and getting moved over. As you know, lots of little things to fix.

Jeremy - Do you have more kids than the twins or is this one of the twins getting married?

Either way - Congrats!

Where the filler hose winds up is part of the overall plan for a stretch. If you are committed to that much stretch, then don't go half way. Modify the tank and put the filler neck where it needs to go. I've not laid this out on a TJ but I do it on every TJ Unlimited stretch.

What thickness of metal do you box the rear crossmember? Is that a standard mod on your builds? What is the thickness of the support at the lower corner?

OK we can plan for July then... Might even have my motorhome back by then too...

If I get the Jeep running before then I might haul it over to Reiter and do another shakedown run there. I doubt it'll be running before next weekend...
I have the windshield armor too but mine was from a vendor that isn't around anymore. I installed it after caving in both sides of my frame. Then I cracked my windshield from the rubbing on trees.
