The 3” I have are probably too big for my stock NA Coyote. I don’t have dyno data substantiate, but seat of the pants says less torque down low and more hp high up. Definitely revs even more eagerly.
32 valve 4.6
Cool . I thought they were 3 valve.
NA for now.
Haha. Me too. Really mine is perfect as is. 400 whp suits the chassis and road driving really well. Boost would add weight up front, mess up the handling and not really be much help on the road. Despite that, the devil on my shoulder would be hard to resist if I didn’t have so much jeep stuff to do.

Got the Setpower electric fridge/freezer in yesterday. This is a 20L unit. I’ve got a Nordic 45qt and a Dometic CFX3 100qt, so I wanted something smaller for day trips/trails. This one is marketed to the overland crowd. It has 4 loops and straps for anchoring it to the rig. With a 12V plug in the back now I can plug right in. It came with AC and DC plugs and so far I really like this unit. Control panel is easy to use and it gets down to temp quick (60-32 in about 15 minutes). Only cost $206 all in.

I bought this one with 18L capacity. They make one smaller size and two bigger sizes. Can run off a Lithium battery in addition to 12V DC and 110V AC. It's very quiet and seems to be pretty good in cooling temps down and maintaining it. It was @mrblaine idea to look for a fridge that's battery powered and it was an excellent suggestion.

I bought two batteries with it. The idea is to be able to charge the batteries at home, take them on a day trip and even if I forget to charge, I can still so in the vehicle since they just charge with It USB power and Blaine put a dedicated Is USB power supply in the back.

Last year, the fridge+1 battery was 300 and I got one extra battery for 150. The unit can be used at home normally with 110V power. Each battery is 170Wh and supposed to last a whole day with fridge running at 32F, so I'm nicely set up for 1-2 day outdoor trips which is most of what I generally do.

You can see pics if the fridge in my build thread. Blaine made a really awesome mount for it.

Curious to see if you need the batteries.

I have the ARB hardwired plug for my Dometic and I’ll plug the Dometic 40l in when I tow the jeep to Moab, it’ll be cold when I get there and stay running in the jeep for the week. I’ve never had to jump the Jeep nor had my Dometic not stay cold. I usually run it at 28° so that it’ll freeze the water and mini snickers in the bottom and everything else stays good and cold. Once cold energy use seems minimal. Then @lBasket will fill it with burritos and I’ll remember the Tabasco.

I could see the batteries being useful if heading out and letting the jeep sit for a couple days while you hiked around.

I didn’t realize we were SetPower teamies! 😂 I also didn’t realize they offered Li ion power better. Cool.

I need to do this on my Mustang. I’ve got a 3” cat back system with 5” round, straight through, Borla mufflers at the back. Its sounds awesome (maybe too awesome) but also drones around 2K.
Always something that can be improved….

I like this size of this one. I almost asked which you got earlier. Super interested to see how it looks in your jeep and how you mount it. I need a better cooler, but these are getting so cheap that I'm thinking I ought to just get one of these instead.

I’ll post up some pics when I sort out how I want to mount it. Take a gander at the SetPower MC line. They have a 15.8L and a 21L. Cheering for you with the regear.

Oh, I did not get setpower  But similar sized fridge. Mine is made by a Japanese company called EENOUR. Looks like this. Battery goes in the black compartment .. fridge can work off of 12V power or 110V house outlet or the lithium battery .. battery can be charged while in the fridge in house or car (but charging is slow) .. and battery can be directly charged with appropriate USB-C power outlet, it's also a power outlet if needed.

Can that battery bank you shared above power your fridge?

Sweet! And thanks for the tip I just checked out the website. The FC ones seem to have the same capacity but are cheaper? The differences just say... Colors and cupholders? Lol.

I think it's funny you can get a legit compressor based fridge for half the cost of a Yeti cooler. These are such a good deal I want one.

And thanks for the support!! If even I can do it then anyone can if they try 🤣

Yes, it will power the fridge. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was really hoping we were on the same team. 😉

I went with the MC line because it has the feature of anchoring it down with provided straps. It caters to overland types. I’m not doing that at this time, but some of their products have features that play into our needs.

I see... The website has crappy descriptions it seems kinda like the MC has a better compressor and insulation. Probably worth the extra 20$. It's cool they sell a battery to run it off of too separately so you can find out if you need it first.

Does this battery bank go "into" the cooler on that bottom corner or is it also a separate unit like the setpower one seems to be?

I think the Li ion batteries are all separate from the unit itself. They are magnetic, but that would only benefit those who buy the line that has a steel case.

Check this one out! $199 and free battery on the 20L! App control temps. And the tiedown feature.

Wow that's a good deal. I am sooo tempted. I wish the differences in models weren't so ambiguous when they're all almost the same price.

Battery goes into this slot. Fridge can work on battery only, or 12V only or 110V only. If battery is in the fridge while on 12V DC or 110V AC, it will charge (albeit at a slow rate). Directly plugging the battery into in an appropriate USB source will charge at full USB-C speeds.

When I was looking .. this same thing you are describing drove me nuts. So many companies and models and it's hard to differentiate good vs bad. In general seems to be the theme for most stuff these days and Amazon is pretty atrocious to sift through reviews and listings.

But eventually I found the one that I shared above that ticked all my boxes. Recommend carefully thinking about and making a list of features you want to have and then using that to whittle down the junk you see online.

Okay that is really cool it integrates in like that. I like that. I'll check out this brand too. I'm not in a hurry to pick one up so hopefully I'll get to see what you and Jeremy think of the ones you got.

So true! I don't trust Amazon reviews anymore - everytime I try to submit a negative review it gets denied by Amazon nowadays. So I know its all crap.
