Where did you get the non insulated but connectors?

Some I got from Sherco

The others I got from AIRIC through Amazon and I like them better. They are solid barrels.

I just finished putting the Toyota Koito headlights on my rig. My old Octane lighting headlights had a bad crack.

I bought two sets of the Toyota lights and the grand total was $47.36 shipped to my door. Came with the headlights, bulbs, relays, a nice fused harness, lots of zip ties, and dialectic grease. Hard to believe. Packed fantastic.

There was way too much wire so I cut all the wires shorter so I wouldn’t have a wad of wire. Used non-insulated butt connectors and adhesive shrink wrap. I staggered the cuts so the harness wouldn’t have a big fat section. It takes time to do this, but I think it’s way better in the end and shows you actually care.
I bought some Hella H4 100/80w bulbs. I’m not too happy with the color (3200). I think I’d prefer 4000. I’m going to look around.

I put the relays in the typical location.

They look pretty good. I’ll have to see how well they illuminate at night, but they are higher wattage than the previous 65/55, so they should be an improvement.

Love the stock look👍

I wish I had known how much better uninsulated + heat shrink was before I bought a bunch of insulated connectors.

Now I have to sit there and saw off the insulation before I use them. The lights look fantastic, got me thinking about getting some. My LEDs have too high of a cutoff.

These type of connectors were brand new to me a couple years ago, and now I love them. If I get started it's hard to stop. I want to fix everything and right now I think I have everything fixed.

Same. I used to hate automotive wiring and suck at it. Now it’s relaxing and satisfying.

Same!! It is so satisfying when you have all the right things to make it look nice - the connectors, the shrink wrap, ways to mount the wire along the chassis!

Working on perfecting the tape-around-conduit technique is so cathartic!

These are the best bulbs for those Koitos. Call them before ordering and make sure they are in stock.

I was about to call it quits on finding anything. Thanks Sri!

They are worth the money. Report back on how you like 'em. Remember to aim the lights correctly, it always takes me a lot of time somehow when I have done in the past.

If you can, consider getting 2 pair and keep a spare set in your garage.

Osram Night Breaker’s on the way. Will report back.

I’ve got several projects going on, one of which is wanting to cover my subwoofer box with carpet because it looks so blah.

I bought a 10’x4’ roll with some spray adhesive. Plenty for this sub and my sons if he gets an inkling to cover his.

There’s a great video that explains how to do this without overlapping the carpet. It’s not too difficult, but it was a little counterintuitive when it comes to the ends. It’s not perfect, but I’m pleased with my first attempt.

I'm a convert as well. These 3 things have completely changed the way I do anything automotive electrical!

I've been considering getting some dedicated crimpers. I got a hydraulic one for big stuff and it made me feel like my small one was lacking, how do you like that?

Doesn't look significantly different than what I use now but looks way easier to use. Here's what I have:

The crimper works decent but is a real pain to use. Yours looks pointier.
