I think Flame Red TJ's are difficult to outfit with a wheel.
My .02, dropping in.

Outfitting a Wrangler with a wheel that creates an overall look or stance that is aesthetically pleasing carries many more aspects than just wheel color selection. Not to mention, one’s own opinion of what fits in the aesthetics pleasing parameter varies one person to another.

Backspacing, wheel width, spacer/no spacer, tire width, and flare width all play a roll.

Too wide of a tire on a wheel and it looks silly and un-proportionate. Often it will look ballooned. You have it right sticking with a 10.5 inch.

The tire and wheel combo should allow full steering radius of the factory Dana axle. Not my rule, I just follow it/repeat it. Take it up with the engineers if you disagree. Backspacing is key here.

The tire and wheel should sit within and/or extend outside the factory flare (FYI: Saharas and Rubis share a 1inch wider flare)

A tire and wheel that sit to far out give a TJ a skateboard look.

A polished finish look best IMO on a Flame Red Wrangler. Especially if you get the body/fender/flare to tire ratio just right.

I like the Mickey Thompson polished classic lock II wheels, without the fake bead lock ring.

My brother ran them on his YJ with a 33 inch tire and I thought it looked really good paired with the Flame Red paint.

I also really like the Moabs in machined finish. It’s the best looking Moab rim finish IMO. The issue with running them is that they are built in the 16 inch diameter, which we all know is less desirable. But damn they look good. Also, any Moab can be turned resulting in a beautiful machine finish. I think that info is listed in my Jeep thread.

Although Quadratec brands and sells a clone, it’s in the 16 inch diameter size with 5 inches of backspacing. They are made in China. The machining doesn't seem as deep as the Mopar originals, so the machined surfaces seems to not “pop” and flash as much as the Mopars that were built in the USA. The Quadratec clones do carry a lifetime structural warranty.

Mamba also build Moab clones, although the dimensions that make up the wheel are not exact when compared to the factory Mopar Moab wheel. They are built in a 15 inch, 16 inch, and 17 inch diameters. Their offset is 4.5 inch. They also come in a machined/polished finish.

Are you considering a Trailready beadlock? The HD15 looks amazing. I ask only because you are going that direction eventually.

You can have my Argent Pintlers if you pay shipping. There are 6 of them. 3 good and 3 with hairline cracks. I posted them for sale but they never sold. I'm tired of them in my garage lol. Won't mind seeing them go to a good home. They are 5 x 5 though and a couple will need repaired, but the Argent would look fantastic on your Red TJ.

I'm researching CA's again. Here are my thoughts. I want your thoughts.

1) REAR LOWERS - I'm thinking of going with the MC aluminum lower rear control arms for two reasons. They are double adjustable LOWERS and they are ALUMINUM. Super easy to adjust and we do have a little road salt up here and seeing how I tend to rub my lower CA's on the rocks, ALUMINUM would help me stay rust free.
2) REAR UPPERS- I'm thinking of going with the Rockmen steel upper rear control arms. They are double adjustable johnny joint.

My reticence is based on one being a jj and the other being the duroflex. Thoughts?

I’m curious why you would go with MC over Savvy for aluminum double adjustables?

As far as mixing the joint types, I don't see any advantage, or disadvantage, other than ease of servicing the joints.

I think you are over thinking it just a tad, but I am the same exact way. 😂

So much so, I would prefer to have all my control arms match. The mix and match would bother me as silly as that may seem.

What is wrong with the Savvys or Curries? They both use Johnny Joints, do they not? Both are Aluminum, correct?

I would think as much as you wheel and wrench, you would fork over the extra cost for the Johnny Joints.

I personally have always been kind of fond of these:

Another vote for the Micky Thompson's. It's a timeless look.

This is my buddies chill pepper red TJ with soft 8's

I have thought of Argent Soft 8's. I think Extreme Terrain offers some. I thought they looked great. My wife was not so impressed. That doesn't mean everything. She really likes my DC-2's. I also like that polished machined Moab look like the Mamba's too. The only issue with them is a 4.5" BS. That may work, but I might risk rubbing on my lower CA's and I also might need some bumpstop to keep the tires out of the fenders. Decisions, decisions...

One more mention and I am done...The Trailreadys can be practically built to whatever BS you desire for your Jeep.

Is there a code to get some off of the Savvy's? They are like $369/pair minimum, often listed for $401/pair.
