I’m getting a P0133 which can be B1S1 fouled, high probability. Exhaust leaks, MAF sensor, catalytic converter. Going to start by taking a look at B1S1. I brought my 02 sensor socket and can remove and clean it up. I bet it’s bad. If so I can be back on trail tomorrow.

I’m glad there was minimal damage and that you were physically ok.

On my drive back to the cabin it dawned on me that it’s good you weren’t the first one up. Luckily two of us were up there to be able to pull it back over.

That is so true. We’d have been up a creek without paddle without you two. Glad you were both outfitted, well planned responsible wheelers.

That would probably make sense on why it wasn't running well too... Hope it's something easy and just dirty like that

I’m assuming you got your hydro steering fixed. I hope so Ryan. Thanks for your help today. Totally sucks, but it is what it is.

Yep, thanks to @MagnumV8 and @Beestinger it’s all ready to go. More swepco ordered.

And @hosejockey61 for reminding me to bleed the system and lend a second jack for the process.

That’s great news Ryan. Sorry I didn’t stick around to help fix it. Felt bad but I was still a bit shaken up and wanted a beer. Thought you were in good hands. Every other day I’m there.

It was no problem had plenty of help. Good crew of members there today.

Thanks buddy. I reach and step out, at last moment back in. I’ve done this twice now. Don’t know how to respond differently. Nothing happens in your brain. You think it’s not going over and then you realize it is.

The instinct to reach out and brace yourself is almost impossible to control. I've done it too. It puts a perspective on all the cage discussions that ignore limb restraints while adding all kinds of extra tubing to reach past and crush yourself on during the roll.

That emotion is the real deal. Take it in and process it. Then get back in that saddle and get after it.

I've been in your shoes before except I was in an ultra 4 car doing high speed stuff during a roll. Grabbed the tube (normal window nets were removed) right above me instinctively and crushed my dominant hand. It almost got amputated and I spent 8 days in the ICU... Very lucky to still have it (limited function and all). Just sharing my crappy experience as something to think about. I always make sure all my passengers know what to grab or not to grab in the event of a roll (so they don't pull what I did). I've been in a few flopped jeeps before and since that incident. It's been two years and still love wheeling more than anything, that pit in your stomach will go away. I do however still refuse to get in any go fast rig without a full cage and proper harnesses. Really glad to hear you were able to walk away unscathed, like everyone else has said the Jeep can be fixed!

Always appreciate you and follow your build and wheelin’ adventures. I need to get back on that horse. Thanks for the advice.

Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for your Jeep! Hopefully you get it sorted out quick and back out on the trail. I also couldn't help but notice if you had a clutch pedal maybe that could have been avoided? I've really never wheeled an automatic much and I know the control is a game changer, but I've been close like that and been able to bring it back down by stabbing the clutch (example like the photo in my profile pic). Do you ever miss the manual trans?

I know the phenomena you’re talking about. The auto will still roll back some on an incline if you let off the gas. Not as much and not as fast. It happened so fast. I don’t know if a manual would have avoided it. I need more time to drive the auto

When I did my auto swap, I filed out the hard detent between N and R so I can panic slap the shifter into reverse without using the button.

Good to know! Although I have no plans for an auto in my jeep but thats a solid option. Is there a chance of getting it into park without hitting the button and panic shifting for reverse?

No. The shifter is in reverse in that pic. Park is to the right.

Are you two foot driving much with the auto? It's a weird feeling and probably wouldn't help much here, but learning to use your left foot with the brake as you get the throttle up is a trick I've been working on.
