The easy button would be a stroked 4.0, but since we're dreaming, I would think one of the GM 2.7L Turbo Max engines with the 8-speed auto. 310 HP and 430 LB FT of torque. I have one in my Colorado ZR2. It's a pretty stout little motor.

I've had the Pentastar V6 in a JLU and JT. I think they're pretty good engines but don't think I would put one in a TJ. If I had a notion to do something it would probably be a 4.6L stoker. Maybe with the Edelbrock head to save some weight.

Changed the A/C Compressor clutch. The old one made horrible noises. My Jeep sounds much better.

When I installed the A/T Denso in my M/T Jeep, I just left the black plastic plugs in the transmission cooler ports.

That's what I did. The coil was for an 08 Wrangler and the wires for a 97-99 Wrangler. All from Rock Auto. It all went together fine.

My understanding is their early brackets didn't have the upper support. They later updated them. ETA: I wasn't looking for or expecting more power in either my XJ or this TJ. Just wanted to make life easier when I changed plugs.
