When you say they clear them, are they doing that with a scanner and if so, what codes are showing?
When the engine is running and the check gauges light is on, one of the gauges will be way off for that to happen. We are speculating that it "should" be the temp gauge which is defaulting to full hot to warn of a bad sender. If it defaulted the other way that would me the check gauges light comes on all the time right after the engine is started. But, we aren't sure so which gauge is showing a way too high or way too low reading.
Typically a very low voltage will trip the check gauges light.
Too low oil pressure
Too hot on the temp gauge
Which one is out of range?
You can get the codes by putting the key in the ignition and cycling it from Accessory to Run 3 times (without starting it). The codes will flash across the odometer followed by "donE".
Sender, sensor, switch. The thing I pointed to in the picture earlier. That thing.
https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/error-code-list.84/Did you see my report on the error codes in this thread?
Try listing the codes with their descriptions and that will put a list out that we can start trying to make some sense of. It is a struggle on this end because your mechanics are not helping at all. They could have at least given you a list of codes so we could start there.Yes, of course I've looked up all the codes. The issue is what to do now. I'm completely lost. No idea where to begin. For me, knowing codes is like NASA giving me their code phrases...to which, I say, "ok, now what?"
Help?

PO499 is abnormal pressure in the emissions due to an incorrect gas cap, generally. Here's what was spit out. I have no idea where to begin or to determine what's wrong.

I'll get with my buddy today and see if he has any thoughts on where to try and start.
Did you download the FSM and use it to find out where the sensors are located?Cool, thanks. Again, the only "symptom" I've got is a fan that runs continuously without stopping until I turn off the engine. I've replaced the relays, the circuit fuse next to the fan, and tried finding the temperature sensor (still having difficulty finding it; whoever gave me the picture of where it is on the engine seems to be in disagreement with other people who say that if I disconnect it [which I did], then it shouldn't be the case that both the fan continues and the temperature gauge shows normal engine temperature on the dash. The fact that disconnecting it made no impact on the fan or temperature was, I guess, evidence that it isn't the temperature sensor after all. So, I'm still trying to locate the two temp sensors.)

Regardless of how good we are or can be, it will be next to impossible to solve this without the vehicle in front of us. You need someone who is vehicle literate to put eyes on this thing.Yes, I downloaded it. I've looked at that document for about 2 hours. I'm too illiterate when it comes to vehicles to narrow down where the heck that info would be. I tried looking at the outline of the manual. I tried custom searching words. I'm good at a lot of things; clearly, I'm not good with vehicle terminology or navigating such a document.

We sat down and went over this. He brought up the first thing you should do is get a test light and check every fuse. All of those codes are related to a fuse being blown or a high voltage level which is also voltage high or an open circuit. You're right. Good luck to me. Almost impossible to find here (at least, for a Jeep). I've seen three other Jeeps, total, in the whole country (1/3 the population of the US).
UPDATE: both relays replaced and no change. Temp sensor replaced and no change.
Now what? :/ Where should I look next?
Hi sr wondering if you had any luck solving that issue with the fan running continuously?
Having the same problem running all the time and check engiune light on with bad performance in the vehicle
Hope you found a solution.
