Today hubby and I made a rear deck. I made it have a folding rear piece so I can fold that back when the windows are all in, and still be able to sneak my uppers between the rear window and the deck, so they will sit on top of it.

So it is going to be nice to be able to store the uppers on top and still be able to use there drawer, and on the days I don't take my uppers with me, I will still have piece and mind that my stuff is secure. Well, once we figure out a latch to keep the rear piece down. Going to figure out some sort of hook that I can hook it to the drawer, then shut the tailgate and lock it. Then no one will be able to open it up.

There is a little gap but I could barely get my arm past my wrist down the space.

Rear section folds back.

Put eye bolts to hook the bed web too so I can hold my uppers on once they are on the deck, that and anything else I want to haul up there.

Best part about this build is it was free.

A friend had given us the wood a long time ago, the piano hinge my hubby found at work, and the eyebolts were found at his work also.

Saved me 650 bucks because I was almost going to buy that Slipstream metal cover.

This one is much better and price was right.
While we were making it, the Jeep was sitting in the sun. One of my newly acquired rock chips decided to run. Now I will have to break out my vinyl sticker maker and make some little Jeeps to place along the crack. LOL
