Brandon's Arles Blue TJ

You're lucky.... Neither of my two local Schwabs will touch beadlocks. Even if I have them mounted they still won't balance them. The other tire shop in tow said bring the Jeep by and they'd see if one of my tire would fit on their machine. But like I said so far I don't have vibrations so I haven't taken it in yet.

That sucks! And 38s are a smidge bigger, so they may or may not fit on the machine. There's another tire shop and a general shop that I think both would do them if Schwab wouldn't.

When I was living in Moses Lake, there was a Commercial Tire and he was a off-road/power sports guy. He would fix/work on just anything you brought him. I called him one time because our work Rzr had a nail in the tire and had beadlocks that nobody would touch. Finally someone recommended him and he was like oh, of course bring it in. I didn't go anywhere else after that. But that's a bit of a drive for something that doesn't seem to be a problem at this point.

Years ago.... Like 10-15 And then even longer like 1996 I think it was the Les Schwab in Milton-Freewater would work on nay tire/rim combo your brought into them. I had my Zuk at the time.

When I first moved here... 2005 the Ellensburg store would do beadlocks as far as balancing them. They wouldn't mount tires for you. But then some where along the way a new policy came down and they won't even mount tires you bring to them now. You have to of bought them from them or they won't touch them.

And yes being 38's it make it harder for some shops to mess with them.

I used to put bb in mine.

Exactly. I always worked the spare in the rotation when I had one. I suppose your getting 5 beadlocks? I had mine dismounted about a month ago. Thought I'd have to get the 37's balanced after I mounted them on the beadlocks, but I drove it several times and no issues.

Are the 37’s Baja bosses? I’ve never needed to balance my 35’s. Hoping I’m as lucky with the 40’s.

This is a piece I'm really excited for. There's been a few lines where I go regularly that I've avoided due to rocks that would hit, or be dangerously close to, my oil pan. Looking forward to getting this installed to gain some clearance and protect things that haven't had protection. The matching tank skid was delivered last night.

Picking up the new wheels at noon tomorrow!

Still no update on the Savvy corner armor 🙄

No updates on my seats, but I'm thinking another week or so maybe? It's been 3 weeks since I ordered and they said about 2.5 week build time. It took the fabric to get there, and then figure time to glue the fabric to foam. Can't wait to see, and reveal, those.

I want that oil pan skid so bad. Very nice.

I do too. Especially since that last Tahuya run I almost had a rock hit my oil pan. I had about an inch to spare.

I went over an edge and landed on my oil pan back when I still had the NSG370. Whole weight of the Jeep was on it as I teetered for about 15 minute before getting enough help to teeter over and get traction. I lived with that oil pan another 4 years. I dubbed it ‘extra clearance.’

Yea when you were hung up and then came down I thought for sure it would hit. They've changed that obstacle now. They did some work on 55 and changed a few of the man-made rock piles.

That's what I DON'T want to happen! 😳 I mean, technically I'll lose a little clearance with the engine skid, but it's a worthwhile sacrifice.

I'd dub you 'lucky'

Overall we're very fortunate that the only things damaged were this and a pop-up canopy over my son's sandbox. Somehow, it doesn't seem like the Jeep or truck were hit when the cover took flight. Oh, and I already put the downspout back up that got ripped off in the process.

For this not from the PNW, we got hit with a big wind storm last night with 50-60 mph gusts. We lost power for about 7 hours. Much worse in other spots.

Ok, I can share now that they're in the back of my truck! Full set of 5 matching Hutchinson Rock Monsters! The tires are rough but they'll be very temporary until I get mine switched over. As I mentioned, I had no intention of getting new wheels but got them with tires for what I feel was a good deal given the wheels. I'll try to get a few hundred back from my current wheels and these tires to offset the cost even more. I was looking forward to half doors, but they can wait.

@Plumber1 yours helped me convince my wife!
