What have you 3D printed for your TJ?

I like to tell my friends that get the boneless wings that they're just eating chicken nuggets, but for adults.

IMO, heat dry rub or mango habanero are better on boneless, mango is too sticky for traditional. Wild or blazin’ are better traditional.

That box is full of leftover chips.

Hoping one of you can help..

I need a wedge shaped fender washer to shim the windshield washer misters up a little bit so they can be adjusted to hit the center of the windshield. I don't know anything about creating the 3D files. I do have access to 3D printing through the local library but I can't specify what type of material they print with and heat could be an issue sitting on the hood all day.

They need to taper from paper thin to about 1/8" thick, about 1" to 1.25" outside diameter and have a 1/2" hole which of course I can add later. I can provide more accurate dimensions and would be happy to pay for a few of them if someone could help.

Like this shape in the appropriate size

To fit under this washer nozzle.

Model is easy, see attached.

A few thoughts: 1. Tapering from paper thin is going to make the part more fragile in the thin area. The attached part 0.6 mm at the thin edge (3 x 0.2 mm layers) and tapers up to 1/8th thick. 2. PETG or ABS is probably a good material to try if you have access/choice. ASA may also be a decent choice.

Thanks.. the materials are a foreign language to me. My only comments would be that it doesn't warp, though it will be clamped tight between the hood sheet metal and the bottom of the nozzle, and it be larger than the perimeter of the nozzle base. I can get it to the final shape.

The thickness at either end isn't critical. Just need a mm or three more elevation on one side. I've run out of adjustment on the nozzles

Not to be 'anti-3D printing' - but given you don't have direct access to a printer and control over the materials, have you thought about putting a thin piece of rubber under just the wind-shield edge of the sprayer to give you the slight elevation you're looking for?

For 3D printing - given the sun load and hood heat, I'd want to go ABS/ASA over PETG, but I tend to 'over material' my prints... FWIW

I don't have a printer... but... replacing the switch panel.

This thread is 'what have you 3d printed for your TJ' - so get this post out of here!

J/K — Look great! I too have a 3d printed switch panel going in (when I get to it) that I didn't print as it had all the features I wanted. Where did you get yours from?

I got one here: https://www.custom3dfab.com/ (found them originally on Etsy)

Yes I have considered a few options for shimming one edge up. The simple beveled washer above would work just fine though.

I'll DM you when I can go look at my filaments to run a couple of prints for you. I think I have black in a handful of ones that should hold up.
