What did you do to your TJ today?

Learned the hard way my fuel gauge decided to stop reading remotely close recently without me catching it, has always been pretty accurate, ran it flat out of fuel cruising down the highway at 70 while it indicated a little less than half like an idiot lol, just wasn't tracking miles, would have caught it otherwise.... Props to Hagarty's for getting me a free tow in under 45 minutes, was a terrible spot to be stuck on a bridge ha

So that's on my today list now that I made it home ;-)

And because we all love pics:

Good surprise story - Drove Ruby to DMV and stopped by Napa on my way back to pick up different serpentine belt.

When I changed all my coolant components (minus radiator and heater core) I decided to change the belt. I don’t have a stock belt due to the York compressor. So I took the old one down to get the same one. For some reason the new slips sometimes and the tension is adjusted by sliding the York which is all the way over. So I take the old one in today and say “hey I need one a little shorter for some reason the replacement one slips and seems a little too long”. So the guy is helpful, finds me one that is 3/4” shorter, all is good I am happy.

Then he takes the old one and starts to return it I say “No, No, that is the old one, the one I bought here is still on the Jeep, its used. I brought this one for comparison in case we needed it”, he looks at the belt as says “Well it is a Napa belt I am returning it”. So I got $34 dollars in credit which I certainly was not expecting.

I’ll keep the old / new belt in Ruby in case it comes in handy one day on the trail.

Mounted the new 8-gang AuxBeam controller on my new switch panel. I just need to get a bit longer screws in the morning for final mounting. When I get the Jeep back, I'll drill the 2 holes for the USB charging ports on either side.

I can't decide if I want to stick with the 8-gang or send it back and get the 12-gang controller. The "Front" lights are going to have the bumper and A-piller lights on 1 switch with the 8-gang. I've been debating on getting a power inverter. Separating the front lights and adding the inverter would leave me with 2 open switches on the 12-gang controller.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, so my apologies. Did you print this or where did you find it?

Finally removed the rotted off sway bar link from driver's side. Torx bolt was stripped out; drilling didn't work, so progressed to cutting, which made some nasty smoke.

Hopefully can address the new flashing CEL tomorrow which developed when driving it Thursday, with new codes for Multiple Cylinder Misfire and No Crank Sensor Learned.

Installed double adjustable upper arms in the rear to set up the pinion angle after installing a slip yoke eliminator and cv driveshaft. I have about an 1/8” of clearance between the track bar and the gas tank skid, not sure if I need an angled track bar bracket or not.

I needed the angle bracket when I did this, though I'm not sure if you have the same setup I did at the time
