    Supercharger bypass valves help

Just went through this with my Boosted Tech kit. Garbage valve with the kit, just like the garbage idler pulley and the disappointing fuel timing management. Anyway, OP never provided the part information after he figured it out, so here's the one I got off ebay for something like $30. Works...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Went to a local off road show. Supercharger and mid arm were not appreciated, needed more tent and more duck. (that FJ was beautiful though)

Finally got around to installing the Barnett diff covers

100 mph in a TJ; have you done it?

This unironically sounds like a really good time. Mixed with actual off road challenges, we have the TJ Olympics

    Hurricane 6 swap possible?

I love the spirit of keeping the TJ a straight 6. That said, if a (4.0) boosted stroker isn't enough for you, a 2j swap....

100 mph in a TJ; have you done it?

Very well could be. I only noted 6 speed because it was the only notable difference that popped into my head. Usually these factory limiters are based on tire speed ratings. Totally makes sense the Rubicon would be limited lower.

100 mph in a TJ; have you done it?

I have one. 93+ Tuned with intake, exhaust, some suspension work, etc. 145 is easy and quick to get to and it's really well grounded but that's about where it starts to feel scary. I've never gone past maybe 150ish but it keeps pulling pretty well at that point. As for the TJ, the '05 has a...

    Bestop Trektop fitment issue

Actually it fits better than the original trektop did. I could never quite zip the last few teeth on the side windows with the original trektop. Just wish it didn't have that tramp stamp. Overall quite happy and the spice is awesome. Goes well with my brown and sticker-bombed serape theme

    Bestop Trektop fitment issue

Bestop never did get back to me but I just went ahead and cut the bar down to 50.25" based on the feedback here. Fits great.

How to buy and install thinner (less than 1.25") wheel spacers

BORA makes quality custom hub centric wheel spacers to order. I've got thin ones on my Gladiator. They'll advise what you need to do for a given depth. They're American made and can sometimes take a bit to get made and shipped out. BORA at Motorsport Tech

    Bestop Trektop fitment issue

The one I have from 2014 is 51" Still haven't heard back from Bestop, they're probably still catching up from Memorial day. I'll give them a call if I don't get an email soon. I'm not opposed to just cutting my bar down if that's all it is.

    Double DIN stereo

That's waaay bigger than a double din. Metra makes a double din center stack, I have one. Fits great. Crutchfield usually stocks them.

    Bestop Trektop fitment issue

Trying to install a Bestop replacement top on my original Trektop NX hardware. The rear bow is nowhere near the right length for the new top. It's too long by over an inch, I'd say. I know these tops stretch when it's warm but it's in direct sun and comparing the construction of the two tops...

    42 mpg in a TJ

I've got an 04 Forester XT 5 speed now as well. Haven't noticed the hill assist (if it has one) but I also live in MN now. I was in Pittsburgh when I had the Mini. Those early systems, like most of them, just aren't very refined when they first see widespread adoption.

    42 mpg in a TJ

Ok this is one thing I'll actually kind of agree with him on. I had a 2011 R56 turbo 6 speed once. Was the hardest car to drive smoothly I've every owned. Drive by wire throttle seemed variable and laggy, clutch seemed variable, it was a mess. Very fun if you were aggressive but terrible to...
