42 mpg in a TJ

His threads are getting shut down. He's on a roll over there.

You've got to follow the science.

"Its been a long time. I dont quite remember all the exact numbers. That was an old post too. 11 pages of them trolling me. However, some calculations can end up to 45 or 38. So i averaged based on how much i spend and what my consistency is. Because i have a strict budget. So basically, i remember how i did it. The road. And such

see 80+ Mpg. I was figuring out a way to turn my starter into a torque buffer. I could basically use it to drive the fly wheel with excess electricity i story from the grounds in a capacitor. That would then discharge slowly to drive it. Freely turning the engine without resistance like its idling. Removing the air conditioner and modding the pump as a compressor too like a super charger. (I never use my ac..). Something around those lines. I have to rethink it. But its formula 1 tech now. However, by my calculations i remember. I could double my fuel economy."

I found a bunch of his accounts across various forums. He was on the Mini Cooper forums saying the stoplights will turn red just for him because of facial recognition.

Ok this is one thing I'll actually kind of agree with him on. I had a 2011 R56 turbo 6 speed once. Was the hardest car to drive smoothly I've every owned. Drive by wire throttle seemed variable and laggy, clutch seemed variable, it was a mess. Very fun if you were aggressive but terrible to daily in traffic. And the hill assist was way too strong. You'd need to give it extra gas and be extra aggressive with the clutch for it to let go. It really would stall you out on a steep hill. I just got used to always giving it a fairly good free rev before setting off to get it to release

Hill assist was the first thing I disconnected on our 05 Forester . You had to get on the throttle hard and drag the clutch to release it , just stupid .

Using the A/C compressor as a super charger. How to tell us you are not an engineer, without telling us you are nor an engineer…

(Not that there was ever any doubt)

I've got an 04 Forester XT 5 speed now as well. Haven't noticed the hill assist (if it has one) but I also live in MN now. I was in Pittsburgh when I had the Mini.

Those early systems, like most of them, just aren't very refined when they first see widespread adoption.

Or using a capacitor that would “discharge slowly” to drive the starter motor and turn the engine “freely with no resistance”. Dude obviously has no knowledge of what happens when you connect a capacitor to a coil of wires, or how much current a starter motor pulls.

Nor how fast you would have to drive the starter to get the vehicle to move more than something like a 1/2 mile an hour…

I want to see the capacitor he's going to use to drive a starter motor a significant amount of time. He's going to drop below 42 MPG pulling the trailer with the 20,000 pound capacitor.
