What did you do to your TJ today?

If you have power at the back up switch when in reverse, then you at least know the problem is downstream of that. which is just wire and sockets and bulbs.
Thanks for the suggestion, I actually haven’t actually verified power at the switch yet. Just took a shot in the dark with new switch. I’ll have to actually start testing wires now. Thanks!

That's good to hear, I was considering the rockford fosgate ps8 too but it's like twice the price and I don't need much bass
I installed a Sound Storm Laboratories LOPRO8 a couple of months ago. I'm pretty happy with it, I just wanted to hear the bass and kick drum, and it does that a a bit more.

Productive day, installed third brake light in center cap. Works awesome.

Covered my parcel tray in carpet so it doesn’t look as obvious as raw wood.

Got some new wiper blades but decided to paint the arms too, and also the antenna base while I was at it.

Also put in some new rubber floor mats!
Beer o’clock!

Did the vaccine shot effect you any?
First one didn't. About 16 hours after the 2nd shot I developed some pretty bad "Flu like" symptoms. Nausea, headaches, body aches and 100.4 fever. All that lasted another 16 hours before it went away completely. This was the Moderna vaccine. I had Covid and was really sick for 3 weeks last year so I don't know if that made any difference. The wife got the Pfizer and was just tired. Sore shoulder is a given for both.

Actually this week. Replaced the entire sound system with a budget upgrade. Head unit (Pioneer MVH-S322BT) to replace the former Sony with only CD and radio- welcome back to 2005. On the upside the PO didn’t cut the harness so the wiring was much easier. Replaced the speakers with Polks- 4x6 in front, 6 1/2’s in back- and put some budget dynamat and poly fill in all the cavities while I had a chance. Added a sound ordnance self powered sub which fit perfect in my console. Unfortunately I think i might need to get an exchange on the subwoofer since it’s not delivering much added low end. Love the new sound and ability to use the app, Spotify and other phone features much easier.

Also replaced the cigarette lighter with a double usb charger using the existing wiring.

Thanks to the forum for the great write ups on these products and install how-to’s, tips/tricks and advice.
How hard was it to replace the cigarette lighter? I would do this in mine, can never have too many USB ports! Where di you get the USB port?

‘Pretty easy. I mostly followed this thread- https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/installing-a-3-0-dual-usb-plug-voltmeter.19055/

Used the same USB charger port he links to in his post from Amazon. A few things I did different from the original poster:
- Removed the cig lighter plug and installed the new plug there rather than in a separate hole. Lighter socket doesn’t come out easy. I just crushed the metal part with pliers and then it came right out.
- Used a round file to widen the existing lighter hole. The usb charger is slightly larger. Took me about 5 min. You could dremel it faster I’m sure.
- I used the existing lighter power which is only on when the Jeep is on or in accessory power. The original poster wanted it on all the time like the power port, but I didn’t care. Wire black/white stripe from Jeep to black from usb and blue/white to red.

Took maybe 15 min

WOW - this is soo great! But NOW after I went to the trouble to add a Volt Meter windshield post POD (see attached pic)... Well it seems that I am always a DAY LATE and at least a DOLLAR SHORT ! However, it is a great install - and I may still add the USB charger port in lieu of the Voltmeter combo. Thanks.
