I did mine body color.Well, I jumped on the bandwagon & painted my chrome headlight bezels black like almost everybody else here does. Now there is no chrome showing on the Jeep at all. I used a product by Rust-Oleum called “Peel Coat” that worked very well. If you paint something with it & don’t like the results or if you change your mind you can just peel it off. I used this stuff to paint that aluminum gas fill cover & it looked great until I spilled some gasoline on it & it started to peel. I’ve got that part being powder coated now. That peel off paint should be great for the headlight bezels.
It claims to be gloss black, but I think it turned out more semi-gloss which I like better anyway.

I’m planning on painting up my bezels right quick here too (I hate chrome) I just can’t figure out if I wanna go black or body matching. What would you guys think would look best on a bright silver metallic TJ? I know most of the time silver TJ’s have black bezels but can’t seem to find any pics with matching.
If I had silver, I'd leave them chrome. That’s disappointing, I was planning on getting the sound ordinance powered sub based on recommendations hereActually this week. Replaced the entire sound system with a budget upgrade. Head unit (Pioneer MVH-S322BT) to replace the former Sony with only CD and radio- welcome back to 2005. On the upside the PO didn’t cut the harness so the wiring was much easier. Replaced the speakers with Polks- 4x6 in front, 6 1/2’s in back- and put some budget dynamat and poly fill in all the cavities while I had a chance. Added a sound ordnance self powered sub which fit perfect in my console. Unfortunately I think i might need to get an exchange on the subwoofer since it’s not delivering much added low end. Love the new sound and ability to use the app, Spotify and other phone features much easier.
Also replaced the cigarette lighter with a double usb charger using the existing wiring.
Thanks to the forum for the great write ups on these products and install how-to’s, tips/tricks and advice.
If you have power at the back up switch when in reverse, then you at least know the problem is downstream of that. which is just wire and sockets and bulbs.Been trying to troubleshoot why my reverse lights don’t work. Can’t seem to find the issue. took a shot and replaced the back up switch in the trans to no avail. Oh well...who needs back up lights anyway?? Clearly, not me![]()

those look betterRemoved the flares to install some cheap flat ones, just not ready to cut and I like the new ones alright. PO did a real job screwing into the factory nutserts. Overall, it wasn’t too bad to remove them since it had aftermarket flares previously. Tomorrow I’ll clean up the fender areas and install. Found a real nice crack in the tub under the rear driver flare. Oh what joy

3/8" (0.375 inch) Flush Mount... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PF0L6KI/?tag=wranglerorg-20Where did you get those plugs for the old slider holes? I have the same issue and those look good
That's good to hear, I was considering the rockford fosgate ps8 too but it's like twice the price and I don't need much bassActually I think it’s the unit they sent. It’s not giving much bass at all. Which is contrary to other folks on here. Going to check fuses, wiring again and call crutchfield to see if they have any ideas. Otherwise my first thought is to have them send me a replacement. I thought I heard a pop when I first sent audio to it.
