How do you modify the TJ slider to reach wheel well to wheel well?
May have been beneficial to give more than a passing glance at the build thread I deleted, eh?

My thought was the LJ slider has the extra material needed. Wouldn’t you chop out the excess and weld up at the length needed for the TJ? The photo you posted it shows you added length to the tj slider. What am I not seeing/understanding?

What was the premise of my build thread?

I bought 3 TJ Unlimited sliders. I had a backer here from a rig that had been hacked up by a shop and we replaced them with less hacked up versions. View attachment 210884
This is one of those things i wish i never seen. Now that i've seen wheel well to wheel well i dont want anything less.

Correct. That puts the wheelbase in stock configuration of the typical TJ-6 build at 108". With all due respect, that means you have to extend TJ Unlimited rails and bases which is what the pictures show.
I’ve always liked the proportions of the TJ6 stretch. You wind up with an LJ without the nasty rear overhang.

Got the rear fender flares off this afternoon, now I'm just waiting on the GenRight Boulder 0" front fenders to complete the no fender flare look. I think this will fair better in the rocks, as I have been pretty close to smacking the flares themselves on rocks and I know they aren't going to bend nicely like plastic will.

I'm a little jealous of you for not having to run a flare. ;) I've tapped mine more than once and know their life is limited, but no flare would be even worse.

Good to see that you're getting in wheeling practice before Moab!

For legal reasons I assume is what you're saying but I'm jealous that it's dry enough there he doesn't WANT fenders! Even with 4" fenders I get freaking covered in shit from wet forest roads
