What did you do to your TJ today?

Yeah... right there with you.

This was Monday. But the hardtop has been on since buying it in January, so, no worries here, lol.

Congrats on the new land...you can have plenty of fun on 20 acers.....is it mainly flat or hilly, rivers, streams, fishing ponds??? c'mon man we needs details lol
It's definitely not flat. It's up in the hills in Pend Oreille County, Washington. Where my TJ is sitting is about 3000ft elevation in that pic. I have about 13 acers of forest, mainly fir. A pretty deep drainage runs right through the forested area. I'd post a vid driving up the access but I don't see a way on this forum.

Put my new footman loop on the hood metal one this time, how many times did I drop the small nuts and washers lol, ended up using the original nuts! But I did find the diff breather pipe hanging in my steering while looking for those little nuts so lucky I dropped them.

Cupholders are worthless with out pics!!!!!
@Hog will maybe, once he gets back from shopping for some. He's probably been up all night wondering what color to set them on and whether to use fade mode.

Once you consider you can control them separately, it opens up like 32 options.

I'm starting to think in terms of "there are TJ's with lighted cupholders, and regular TJs."

We may have to use the term....dare I say it ..." Those people". (Ross Perot used "you people" at an Naacp rally ...not good) .

I guess everyone will have to revise their build sheets. Yep, Ol' Andy, changing the game.

I'm also doing the "double micro USB " charge. Going big. Both ports at once firing 'em up.

What's going to be huge is it will help TJ owners not spill their beer.

I may get Forum Member of the year again this year for this....I've awarded it to myself once already , and got honorable mention my first year.

Yesterday my passenger side outer door handle decided to shit the bed, thankfully I could still open from the inside. So I took the inner panel off (every single retaining clip broke, and I do this for a living) and saw that the metal bar that is on the handle and moves the linkage had bent out of the way. Got a pair of vise grips on it to bend back into place and it snapped off with very little force. Looks like the two pieces of metal had worn each other down over the past 15 years. Took a look at the drivers side and the same wear pattern was evident. So, quadratec to the rescue, ordered a pair of crown replacement handles, they come with the retaining wedges, and they should be here Wednesday. I'll check work for new panel clips before I go to Amazon. I had been wanting to paint the rusty handles anyway, guess this saves me that trouble 😁

I don't know if this is relative at all but I had some door handle problems with my 06...and just bending the tab on the lock mechanism slightly made the difference in it working like new and not working at all.

I'm just throwing that out there that's something to watch for.

Don't you love panel clips....and doing stuff and it makes you feel like a rank amateur and you know what you're doing. Happens to me I work on homes for a living... And some days we shouldn't be allowed to have hammers.

My half door handle rod broke in the same manner. If you need clips I found these at Amazon with the help of this forum. They are a match but to me they bend much easier than the stock ones.

today I picked up a set of half doors I found on the Book of Faces, say what you will about that book but sometimes when you turn the page you find something like this for $200. They're filthy & the driver's side vinyl is cracked but the steel is perfect & there's zero rust. Other than that, I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something peculiar about them, perhaps the color may be a shade off :ROFLMAO:. Took these shots during the 'fitting' 😁

Seriously though, I've been eyeballing half doors for quite some time waiting for the right deal to come along, this will be my winter project to strip & paint the steel & also the vinyl, it's spice & my interior is black; by my calculations I've got exactly 5 months to get it done before the full doors & top come off in late March/early April.

If you don't have clips at work, I got some of these from Amazon and they looked exactly like the ones that came off, but newer looking. Some of the reviews were not good, but they worked well for my installation. Haven't had to remove them yet though.
