Hello,

I have the PSC kit for my TJ, does anyone on here have PSC or know anything about how the cylinder assist mounts to the front axle/steering. I know the kit comes with the weld on tabs but i don't have them, I can always purchase new ones but some help or advice would be cool. Any aftermarket mounts out there for this kit? PSC has one but they are currently out of stock and its like $250. Thanks!!

This doesn't make sense to me... A serious question, why do you need/want cylinder assisted steering?
Turning big tires = more weight = more stress on steering components and gear box. The PSC kit is high pressure which relieves the stress on the box and other steering associated components while moving big tires off-road.

It’s night and day with anything over 35’s. You can turn with one finger. Takes a lot of stress off the box and pump too.
Redneck Ram is a good offering too. Huge improvement, no more pump noises. ~900psi on stock pump to ~1200psi and now it turns in rocks without an effort. Utilizing the hydraulic pump it pushes and pulls the tie rod, taking off most of the stress from the streering box.

The stress on the mechanical steering really adds up with taller tires, beadlocks, low tire pressure, lockers and high traction (think Moab). Hydro assist is a no brainer.

Ok sure I get it and all good descriptions which I never really thought of since those tire sizes are not something I would consider (at least now). Where do you think the need threshold is? Or maybe it is a combo of wheel size and intended wheeling type?

35's if you want to do things "right". It becomes an argument like gearing though at some point. Ignorance is bliss (not being malicious). Like gearing it right after thinking it was right...

But you are on the right train of thought, because it does depend on wheeling style. If I go over 35's hydro assist is a must for me.

On a serious note, i still need some insight on how to properly mount this cylinder assist with my current steering haha.

Do you have any rock crawler shops around where you live? Some basic tabs to weld on and mount the single ended hydraulic ram too would be an easy kill for a crawler shop.
