Hi guys new here and I just stumbled across this post. I just bought an LJR with full nth degree lift and armor on it. I’m kinda new to all this and had a question. The original owner said there’s a way to switch something upfront to change between off-road and onroad handling, can someone explain this to me. I pick the jeep up this weekend and he has all the paperwork. I believe it’s their 6” long arm lift

Does anyone have the approximate torque for the FUCA bushings? I just installed a set of poly-urethane ones and they split and were useless on an offroad trip. ( ended up welding a piece of angle that eliminated the cushioning effect of the bushings.

I tightened to the point of a slight bulging of the bushings, that was too tight I'm guessing. ( I had the black and orange (red) from AllJ products).

all help appreciated!

You should be using one rubber and one polyurethane bushing. Tighten until you see deflection in the rubber bushing.

I got the replacement bushings from ALL J which are both polyurethane ( hard and very hard I'd say) I found that you can get some Kenworth bushings poly and rubber so going to try that. Your advice on the rubber bushing is where I'll try.

I think I over tightened the 2 poly ones as the orange didn't give but both black ones did.

I believe the instructions above mention an Appendix B... does anyone have those from the original installation manual ( I looked but didn't see them. ( I did scan pretty quickly though)

@JC-8 look at post #1 in this thread for all the original Nth documents. It’s getting difficult to find the bushings in rubber. They all supersede to the poly. Go to your local Kenworth/Paccar parts department and ask for COM266 in rubber.

got the ken worth ploy and rubber, but before I destroy those.... where do they explain this from your post:

"you will adjust caster and bushing preload later". caster is easy.... preload apparently for me is not. lol

maybe it isn't discussed later in the installation instructions?

Don’t overthink what these bushings are designed to accomplish. They move in a sort of wrist-type motion. They also need to move forward/backwards. The rear bushing is harder to counteract the torque of the front axle when engaged. The front bushing is a softer more compliant material to allow enough movement to minimize binding as best as a radius arm link can do. Tighten just enough that it’s not loose and not too tight. When you see the rubber bushing beginning to deform stop tightening. The rubber bushings are not mushy nor are they poly hard.
 
Sorry if this has been asked before but did nth degree use a specific shock or brand on their lifts? Just trying to learn as much as possible

They used OG Old Man Emu long travel on the 4.5 kits and Bilstein on the 6.5 kits.
 
I was wondering if y’all could identify if I’m missing anything critical to the install of these nth degree long arms and tummy tuck onto my 2001 Jeep TJ. It’s all there as far as I know but just wanted to make sure before I dump any money or time into it. Thanks
 
It looks like everything is there as far as I know. If you go look at the install instructions there is a parts list you can go through to verify if you have everything or not. The only thing I can see that might be missing is the transmission mount for the belly-up skid.

I have the transmission mount and most of the hard ware. Is there a specific name for this kit? I know they made a couple different long arms. Are there differences between mine and a real Nth kit? Im pretty sure mine is an AEV unit.

I don't know. I had the Nth Degree kit on mine and that looks pretty close to what I had.
