E-Bikes

I'm picking up the ebike strictly for accompanying the young granddaughter on her trek home. She's only seven years old, and the route is about a quarter of a mile. At this stage, I'm thinking that's all I'm going to be using it for, as I have a nice bike for riding around locally and on the 30-mile-long paved trail that's near my house. I also have something like 26 vintage project bikes in the cellar, but that's a whole 'nuther thing! ;)

I ordered a Rad Rover about a month into Covid when the kids were about the same age as your grandaughter. It maxes out about 30mph and I haven't seen any of the kids go faster. It's been a fun bike and with my fat tires I can offroad it through the yard and such.

Liked mine so much the wife got one of these to go with it, a little slower than mine but still faster than the kids.

It'll be interesting to see how much I warm up to the ebike. I've always been curious about 'em, but never really planned on owning one. However, it presented itself as a solution to a problem, so I went for it. We'll see how it goes. ;)

I love my pedal assist e-bike. It’s what got me back out there after patellar tendon problems.

I got my wife a cheap Amazon special ebike so she would come out with me occasionally.

I put 2,250 miles on my bikes this year. Slow year.

I'm averaging 22 mph on the trainer now for my 25 mile rides. When it's warm I do 50-75 during the week and 40 miles on the weekend. Not bad for a 56 year old.

I strenghtened my hips to a point they no longer hurt when I walk.

I have a couple friends that have had double knee replacements and my mom has had one. My goal is to not do that.
