Ok... Shouldn't it just pop out? The last dana 44 I worked on, the axle slid right out. Is there a way to tell if it's c clip or not without pulling the diff cover?
No c clip on a 44. 4 flange bolt s and out the shaft comes.

You might, I would however, encourage you to take a very high quality picture, compose it well, and make sure it is worthy of winning. The shenanigans that worked this year, twice, will be a bit more difficult to pull off again. We will do our very best to drag this contest kicking and screaming back to one of merit and quality and as far away as possible from being one of popularity. If the experiment fails, then we will evaluate our participation in future contests.I'll definitely try and get out there at some point, maybe I can also wint ROTM by drowning my jeepworth it?

Would the fact that it has an e-locker have anything to do with it? I will try that method and follow upRotate the retainer, put 2 non locking nuts with a couple of washers to stabilize the backing plate. Stick a prybar behind the flange, give the end a little boop using the brake shoe as a fulcrum, it will pop the shaft right out. Done it that way dozens of times.

I’ve not had this problem
Doesn't mean it has the stock TJ 44 under it. It could have been swapped for a Chrysler 8.25, Ford 8.8, Dana 35, or a ZJ Dana 44 all of which are c-clip axles.I believe its a Rubicon.

My bad, profile says G2 44, his dad has the Rubicon.
I will humbly bow out now......
Maybe you're thinking about @Mullet Jeeper? My dad won't go anywhere near my jeep, and he definitely doesn't have one lol.
Probably was.........
