Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Some of us know what kind of beating you’ve been doing to it!

What trails? Its been in his garage since the 2010s ;)

Now that was just mean.... I think my feelings are hurt...

It might have only been out a few times but it's been out of the garage...

Yeah all makes sense especially the trails you run. I've got another year of beating on it before I'm gonna really start messing with it.

I need to beat on mine more before I do anymore changes... But the price was too good to pass up..

Here's the new parts included with it.

Narrowed 4” on long side, approx. 33” perch center to center if running leaf springs or set it up for links. 65” WMS to WMS. Complete with 5.38 gears and Spartan locker installed. ORA weld on high steer mounts (new not mounted)New Moog ball joints New axle u-joints New axle and hub seal kits Core calipers, no rotors Unit bearings are good

Not to BEAT this point but here's an example of why you want to stay narrow as possible. I'm 76" wide in this picture so I'm 6" wider now. And you can't go around the trees as that is illegal for going off trail.

With 6" more width, you're gonna need a running start for that obstacle, Rick. Good thing you put that hemi in! :ROFLMAO:

From what the full width guys tell me I'm supposed to crawl the tire up the tree. Won't know until I try it.

Last time I tried the POWER through it approach I blew up the R&P in the CRD60.

This was that spot... Was wedged between the trees and was like OK I can just POWER out of this.... Welp that didn't happen... The guys watching said I had air under my tires too...

But I was smiling so it had to be a GOOD Day

Finally got smart and pulled rope.

Not for me.

Well I was thinking if he wasn't a staff member, that would be ride of the month material for sure.

I know from past experience 🤣 🤣 🤣

Dang it man!!!! That's awesome......

It was a FUN week...This is in the Rimrock area off Hwy 12 west of Yakima. Has some of the hardest trails in WA.

A younger me.... 2007

Not for me.

What isn't for you? Wheeling? Wheeling difficult trails? Not sure I get it??

But as we say, to each their own... If yours is a Mall Crawler that's cool too. But I would rather use mine... And I've got the dents & scraps to prove it too.

That would be the infamous "Wrangler Squeeze" if I remember correctly.

Just more proof that the majority of trails and trail systems in the PNW were pioneered by Willys Jeeps!!!

Yep, and the caved in driver's door is proof of me trying to fit a Wrangler down Flatty trails.

Which comes back to the whole argument of sticking with narrower axles. I know the NORM is to go full width... But I've never been the norm.

The PNW definitely does not lend favors to wide builds!

I don't remember seeing you say, why are you wanting to go up to the 14-bolt over the CRD60? Have you had strength issues out of it or just looking to go a bit stronger and full float? Planning 40s in the future?
