An "Endless" Rubicon Build

If you find some, let me know first ;)

Got the Genright mini boat side rock sliders on, rattle canned black. Also installed the prp seats. Picked them up for 450$, brand new with JK brackets. I had to drill one hole in the brackets and they bolted right in the TJ stock seat lower brackets. Still need to decide on harness color. Black, green, digital camo?

Sliders look great. With black seats I would go with either green or digital camo. Probably digital camo since the green will likely not match. You can't go wrong with any of those 3 though. Rig is looking great! We should wheel sometime soon!

We definitely need to wheel! Im hoping to have the harness bar in this weekend. A bunch of friends are going to AOAA the weekend of the 6th and 7th of sept so ill be there but im always down. Rausch, AOAA and FRO are only 45min away.

I had no idea that was your post on facebook marketplace for the genright stretch tank. That was me who commented itll work for 03-06 with minor EVAP changes. I have a stretch tank from a 2000 in mine. I just had to route some stuff differently but it worked.

I might be able to go on 8/23 before my kids sports dominate my weekends from Labor Day to November.

That's funny about marketplace reply. I had one guy asking for an 05-06 and Genright told him it was a no go due to the locking ring for the fuel pump.

Freshly rebuilt AGR steering box. Honestly looks like a stock Saginaw box internally with a welded on bracket to fit 03-06 frames. I replaced all the seals and gaskets. I also drilled and tapped for hydro assist. Hopefully it’ll be better than the stock Mercedes box.

Finally decided to clean up the back of the jeep. I always carried tools and supplies with me but nothing was organized. Decided to pickup a cheap Amazon TJ shelf. Bolted down some Milwaukee pack out units on each side. Left side is all hand tools, sockets, rachets, random jeep parts. Right side bottom is all Milwaukee cordless tools, m18 1/2 impact, drill, 3/8 ratchet, cutoff tools, grinder. Right side top is all supplies, random nuts and bolts, zip ties, electrical tools, bunch of little stuff. Also setup a small crate with all my fluids.

Figured I’d throw the Genright rear flares on, not sure if I like them on or off 😂

Awesome day at rausch creek with @Sj's TJ nice to meet you man! Can’t wait to wheel again! Now I really want to run ORIs and an LS…thanks 😂

Overall it was an awesome day. Rained early but eventually it was decent weather. Somewhere in the day my ARB decided not to work and was just blowing air out my diff breather. Gotta pull the cover and see what’s up. Had a great time, it became a little tough with only the rear locker so I had to do some bypasses.

This winter I’ll be cutting off the front track bar and going OTA with a custom frame mount. I’m also going to triangulate the rear. @NashvilleTJ how complicated is running a truss with the high pinion Dynatrac? 😂

Yeah man, it was a lot of fun. You are very welcome on showing you what ORIs and an LS can do for you :D It was a bummer that front locker went out. You still made some pretty gnarly lines, but you needed it on some others. Overall great day and I look forward to wheeling with you again in the future!

I've not run a full truss with the Dynatracs, front or rear. The ProRocks have a cool mini-truss which bolts into grooves milled into the top of the diff. Before going to the 14 bolt (where I do run a full truss) I ran triangulated uppers to mounts welded to that mini-truss on a high pinion Pro-Rock 60.

This is the rear Pro Rock 60 from way back when I originally went to coilovers - you can see that mini-truss and how it attaches:

I still run that setup on the front with the 3-link. Here is the mount.

But, that picture is from a repair I did after the mount failed on me in Moab. One of the very, very few parts on the rig which I have not welded myself. The top plate ripped away from the vertical mounts which receive the bolts.

This is apparently what passes for a good weld over at Dynatrac. No question why it failed. I was very surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Looks like a great day at RC!

I've never been large enough to do the rock creek. Always enjoyed watching when running the trails that run parallel. Hope to try it soon!

We ran down Beaver Creek, then up Death Trap, then through Rock Creek over to Otters which is where the big rocks are. You could run all of those on 35s which good line choices. When I was on 35s I tried Otters twice and broke an axle shaft both times, then would bail before the exit which has big rocks.

Rock Creek looks intimidating, but with good line choice if can be done easily enough. A bad line though and it's a bad day as there are no trees close by to winch off of.

What a way to start my birthday weekend. Working on the jeep until 2am to finish rebuilding the front ARB locker..just to get up at 6am to go to AOAA with the 4Link4WD crew. Awesome day! Ripped my soft top and door surround, another guy bent his tie rod, another blew out his back window, another spun his harmonic balancer, another flopped his jeep. 🤘🤘🤘 pretty wild day.

Looks like an awesome day. What ended up being the issue with the front ARB locker?
