Well that is the end to a 6 month project. Audio upgrade and center console are done.

I'm gathering what I need to flat tow. Now, since I've never done it, I'm not entirely sure how much of a benefit this is going to be... but I'm going to print up a lock for the transfer case handle that will prevent it from dropping out of neutral. I figure it will be two pieces that slide together and lock with a hitch pin.
If nothing else, it'll be piece of mind that the lever doesn't get bumped accidentally.
Nice! Did you end up just modeling these yourself? I know you were looking for a way to do this. Eager to see the final product!
Now that's a thing I've never thought about that I will now worry about until the end of time. Following this project closely. lol

Got a cable kit? I don't think it's something that would have occurred to me on the stock linkage. With the Savvy cable... I can shift into 4WD with my pinky finger.
yes! I made a few changes after this picture but haven't had time to print the latest version. I'll post more pictures here as I make progress
If I ever flat tow, I’m pulling both driveshafts! I’ve read too many stories of grenaded transfer cases from either the double cardan joint seizing or the wrong transfer case position.

First draft is effective! But not perfect. I can force the lever... but it takes some effort. I have some ideas to improve it. I'm thinking I'll use the slot to keep it in place.
Shown with a chopstick where the pin will go.
Side note, some of these drafts I print with so little infill they almost crumble in my hands. But they print quick and I don't waste filament on drafts that don't work.

Second draft, and last one that I'll make any significant changes to...
Broke my chopstick removing supports. Did some housekeeping around my shifter to make it look slightly less like a octogenarian's ball sack:
Bottom view... this tab fits into the transfer case lever slot:
Here it is opened to see how it fits around the lever:
It's very secure. After I pulled the pin, it still took some effort to remove. And the lever can't be pushed forward or pulled back when it's in place.
I'll do some filets, slight profile changes so it doesn't resemble a Cyber Truck so much, and print it in red PETG.

I have a quickie 3D print I made of a split collar to replace the factory circlip that was hammered on the shift lever. You zip tie it to the lever, keeps the ball sack from drooping.

No kidding... I think mine's on with just a zip tie. I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about, but if you posted it somewhere lemme know. I'll throw one on next time I have the boot off.
I don't think I ever posted it. It works but could probably use some refinement. But since it did work in the moment and has been holding ever since, I never bothered messing with it again. STL attached, printed in ABS, took about 20 minutes.
