What did you use to remove the old seals in your axle? I've watched a few YouTube videos on this process and they were using a slide hammer in one and a set of brake spring pliers in another.

It was doing the diff bearings and figured why do the axle bearings as well. I bought tried every puller, slide hammer I could get my hands on and the bearings would not budge. I ended up using a section of pipe that fit thru the center of the axle bearing and was long enough to leave several inches into the pumpkin. I then used a 20lb sledge and worked around the bearings circumference and drove them out.

Ya so I pulled it apart and I did damage the new seal. Replaced with a new one, just waiting for the RTV to set up.

Removing the stuck bearing races on the 35 and 8.8 is very easy if you have a welder. Pop the cage out, remove the rollers, then run a bead inside the race where the rollers use to be. By the time you get your hood off, the weld shrink will make the race practically fall out.
