Been 3y in the making! I gotta figure out if it's a "turn in and print title" or "submit and wait" thing. If it's the former I want to leave with plates too lol

My muffler dump exhaust seems to have melted the race of the JJ in my passenger upper control arm on the axle side:

My exhaust was pointing towards my rear diff and I was shocked at how warm things got... I've turned it so it's not pointing at the diff anymore.

From my raising the belly skid my muffler was so close to the tub it would sometime touch and hit it, the heat completely melted my carpet and floor mat in that spot.
I'd like to see how they got it routed out the side like that... I played around with this idea & even bought some of the flattened 3.5" exhaust pipe to try to and route it out the side. On a LJ YEP I think it's doable but not on a TJ that I could figure out... Now if you modified the tub it might be...
If someone has pictures of the exhaust routing I'd love to see them.
Sadly I think I only have 2.5" races in my kit - otherwise I'd send you one since you just got them.
I've always wanted to try it. Up thru the floor in some sort of custom tunnel. There's just hardly any room under a TJ for exhaust work
YJ, TJ, LJ, they all have very similar hurdles to cross getting the exhaust to dump out the side through the tub like that.
And? Same principle. He stretched it to be longer than a LJ... Which is why he's got the room for it.

Sway bar bushing looking a little destroyed. Gonna have to order replacements.
Cleaned all the melted urethane out of the JJ. Shiny! Dremel wire wheel is a nice tool.
Jerry riggin' a JJ rebuild setup on the vice.
Ready to go
The bits to redirect my exhaust should be showing up tomorrow. I also picked up some hangers (rubber parts and the mounts for those) because my fancy braided mechanics wire hanger did not survive moab. That didn't work well anyways, it kept the muffler from going down but not bouncing up into the tub so I could hear it before it broke.

I think you need longer swaybar links so it doesn't invert like that. You'll get more droop too
