COOL.....
Winner so far...
You'll have to give us more back history at some point.

I bought some $2 raffle tickets at the 2003 Off-Road Expo in Pomona, CA. from Cal4Wheel.
And in February 2004, I got a call that I won it.
It had 19 miles on it when it was signed over to me and currently has 88,xxx miles on the clock.
One of the first questions asked to me by the people that were taking this Jeep up and down CA. to have parts and kits installed was,
am I going to sell it. I proudly said NO! I'm a 4-wheeler and I've practically grew up in the dirt. I'm going to drive it like a rental car.
They were happy with my answer.
And I'm proud to say that many, many miles of those 88k, were put on while volunteering for the Adopt-A-Trail Program in the SoCal. mountains and in the desert regions of SoCal.
waiting in Alaska for the new motor, the wife JK and my youngest helping me do the Engine swap. And the 55 that will get the Hemi when i get a workshop some day. i’ve owned that truck since 2005! all i’ve done to it is take it apart. i’m never in the same state as it. Man i love military life.

Full width hp44 and 9”, 100” wheelbase on flipped XJ leafs in the rear, which besides the horrendous axle wrap, actually worked ok crawling:

Flopped it in July of 2007, ripped the traction bar right of the 9” and tore the axle tube. After this it sat for 11 years.

Love the little diesel swap... Some day I'd like to see one.
Nice write up! I've wanted to go through your build thread but it's huge! This was a great summary. That busted wheel is insane! How did you manage that?
I definitely want to run some of those trails in your neck of the woods. We love the Eastern side of WA too. One day i’ll get out there with you
Thanks for sharing more about it. Lucky kid too.... And great dad.... Well until you mentioned the LS swap...![]()
That mod of the 100’s I’ve done, brings the biggest smile to my face. 110% recommend!
I bought a stock 4.0/auto 98 about 10 years ago, fixed it up and gave it to my dad. I guess that counts since I still drive it when I want and do all the maintenance? It's been almost completely trouble free in that time. Current 97 since 2019
My dad was the original owner of my '02 TJ. He build it with lockers F&R, 33s, 2.5" SL, 1.25" BL, armor, winch and wheeled it a lot in Washington, Oregon and took it to Moab once. In 2014, I bought it off of him and have been building it and wheeling it since. So 12 years dad, 11 years me.
Bought mine brand new in July 2002, I'm the only one she's known.![]()
Bought my 06 in early 07.
No sexy story to be told. Living in FL it gets driven down some fire trails in WMA's. Not much true offroading to be had here.
83k on the clock.
Edit to add...this is the 2nd longest onwership of all of my vehicles. My 1998 911 is the oldest ant it has a tad over 8k miles.
I'm the only one she's known.![]()
Who knows what goes on in the parking lot when you are at work !!
Cool
I've owned my TJ about twice as long as any relationship I've been in... Doesn't say much for my relationship skills...
