OK, not a Jeep, but I couldn't resist. This is a 1940 Ford COE (cab over engine) truck that I saw as I pulled into the hardware store parking lot. The COE was primarily a utility truck and they were used hard and used up, so there are not many of them left, according to the owner. I really liked the combination of the old school Navajo Freight signage and patina with the slammed New Mexico lowrider vibe. Yeah, the patina is faked, but the owner put a lot of effort into the build so I'll give it a pass. Made a routine hardware store run a great deal more interesting.

Here are our two beside each other for the first time. Usually only the JL is in the garage but we are going away so I thought I would see if they both fit.
One of my wife's coworkers has a 1982 Scrambler that she's been telling me about. I had an appointment at her workplace today and parked my LJ next to it.

I found a pretty rough 1971 CJ-5 at a local shop in Lumberton, Texas where I live. It’s a 30th Anniversary Edition with the Buick Dauntless V6 engine. It’s rough, but still very cool.
That's not rough, That's a top that has been through the back country on a Jeep that was parked in the sun long enough to bake the paint. I don't see a single dent. Makes me wish I still had the old red 74 CJ5.....
Me too. Mine was brown, with the steel hardtop. And sagging rear leafs - but I fixed that.
I have this in another thread, but wanted to get it in this one.

Happened yesterday. I parked next to a Jeep that had been ducked many times.....They
owners left before I did and they ducked me with 2 babies.

I try to avoid parking next to duck infested Jeeps for that very reason.
Let's be honest, he wanted this to happen...
