What did you do to your TJ today?

Actually, I got it in Dallas yesterday. The doors and the soft top in exchange for the hard top and the full doors. Didn't realize there was one in OKC too? This one was listed on Facebook Marketplace.

Oh I saw that set too in Dallas. Looks like we both missed that deal. Guy wanted 450 for a great set of red half doors. Think he was actually in el Reno.

This weekend:
Installed a Pavement Ends Sprint top, replaced the front calipers and pads, unfroze the hood safety latch and fixed the hood prop-rod retainer clip.

Well....got my Trektop NX installed and it went way smoother than I expected. Helped that it was 80 and sunny out. Then it rained and I realized that Bestop, at some point, decided the bar that used to go across the front seats to help tension these tops was no longer needed. That allows water to pool over the front seats which is a pain and would likely overstretch the fabric over time. A few emails back and forth with them and I now have the part number to add it. Just an FYI for anyone that may be wanting this particular top. IMO, you're gonna want that extra piece. Bestop part # 5682035. Still very happy with this top. Love the way they make the jeep look and much quieter than factory style.

How is it? Love the MBRP on my F150.

My son likes it. I took it for a couple mile drive with the top off & it was maybe a little louder than stock. Nothing obnoxious, no drone. His Jeep is an auto fwiw.

*we'll be installing a set of Hooker shorty headers next week to replace the rusted oem manifolds. I'll report back how it sounds after that.

I like the catback system I picked for the truck because it was a little on the quieter side, compared to things like the Borla exhaust. Gives it a nice tone without announcing to everyone a few blocks away that I've got a lil 3.5 liter ecoboost. lol

Yeah you can hear all our other vehicles from a mile away (literally). Supercharged Z06 w/Corsa Xtreme plus 2 BMW M's with aftermarket exhaust that have the valves open 100% of the time :)

I just bought a reese tow hitch for my tj. Those integrated receivers have always sketched me out. Yes they prob would be perfectly fine for a small uhaul and a jetski but I am also a big fan of overkill.

I'm not understanding you. I installed a Class III bumper/receiver hitch. Class III = 3500 pound rating. This is definitely overkill for a TJ.

Like this one (the bumper on the driveway, not the one on the vehicle):

Reinstalled heater box today. Spent yesterday making a control cable mounting block to secure the cable end. See picture. Check out the seal around the inlet/ outlet pipe. Made it from a piece of 1" water pipe insulation I picked up from home depot. It's the best thing I've found after much searching! A little tricky getting it glued on though, ( contact cement )!

My Trektop NX came with that part. I wouldn’t want to do without it.

From what I have gathered, they took it out of the kit at some point, then, based on the number of complaints, put it back in. I am assuming that since I ordered thru Quadratec instead of Bestop directly, I got one of the kits without. Either way, the part is on order because, like you, it NEEDS to be part of the whole deal. For sure!!

Busy weekend in my driveway. Old front flat tow bar was removed. RockJock lift, Anti-rock, CurrectLync steering, wheels and tires all installed. New rear Rock Hard 4X4 bumper was put on earlier in the week. Just need to sort out the Anti-rock, double check torque on everything and take her to the alignment shop. I left the profile pic the same now for comparison. I do have the full size spare, just need to get it mounted and balanced before hanging.
